Our stay at Corazon Cabo was more of a nightmare than a dream vacation, so much so that we ended up cutting our trip short.
The hotel’s tasteful decor and prime location initially seemed to promise an idyllic stay. However, the reality turned out to be quite different, and not in a good way.
We were subjected to an intense, incessant push for a timeshare presentation, which felt more like a scam than a genuine opportunity. Despite declining on numerous occasions (well into double digits), the sales pressure from the hotel staff was relentlessly intrusive, turning our supposed relaxing getaway into a stressful experience.
The deception didn’t stop there. When we tried to book an activity through the hotel, we discovered that they attempted to charge a higher price than listed, and once again, tried to rope us into their timeshare program. These unscrupulous practices left us questioning the hotel’s business integrity.
Further dampening our experience was the hotel’s decision to turn off the AC in the common areas during periods of low occupancy. This cost-cutting measure, carried out without consideration for guest comfort on sweltering hot days, was a glaring indication of the hotel’s disregard for guest experience.
Room comfort was another area where Corazon Cabo failed to meet expectations. Despite the visual appeal of the room, we were plagued with a leaky shower that led to a persistently damp bathroom floor - an inconvenience that felt even more egregious given the high per-night cost of the room.
Given the host of disappointments we experienced at Corazon Cabo, we ultimately decided to cut our trip short and change our flight to head home a day early. This was an unfortunate conclusion to a vacation that had promised so much.
In summary, while Corazon Cabo might lure in guests with its attractive facade and desirable location, our stay was marred by persistent, high-pressure sales tactics, questionable business ethics, and a disregard for guest comfort. Until these serious issues are addressed, I would strongly recommend prospective visitors to look elsewhere for their stay in Cabo.
I am writing this review late as I was not originally going to write one. I was talking to a friend about my bad trip and thought management should have given me more. I also paid my ER bill of $486. which made me think about the whole unfortunate experience in depth. The reason I booked this hotel was because of their excellent customer service reviews. The thing no one mentions was the management did not have the great customer service at least in my case. I booked a 6 night stay from August 17-23, 2024 for our anniversary. It is a high end hotel I used 480,000 points one free night certificate. The 480,000 was a lot of points but I thought is would be worth is based on what I read. Unfortunately I was mistaken and wish I had never booked the hotel. Here’s what happened to me. We booked transportation from the hotel and we were met at the airport. I am a Diamond member and our room was upgraded the driver and hotel staff were friendly we were off to a good start. We ate dinner that night at Don Manuels and breakfast the next day. The meal at Don Manuels was alright nothing special. I made dinner reservations the next day August 18 at EL FARALLON for our anniversary. We arrived at EL FARALLON before 5 pm waited a little and were seated. At the EL FARALLON I ordered the Lobster and my husband ordered Surf and Turf ( Steak and shrimp) and a beer. We had appetizers and I had the soup my husband did not. We took the dessert to go. After the meal we went to see the baby turtle release at the hotel. This was really cool the best part of our trip. After the turtle release I didn’t feel good and went to my room. I proceeded to vomit and have diarrhea all night long. I was miserable. Thankfully by husband did not get sick. The next morning my husband told the concierge I was sick. The concierge asked if I wanted to see a doctor I declined . I laid in bed and drank bottled water and used Drip Drop hydration powder my husband bought from amazon. I was trying to keep hydrated since I was losing liquids with diarrhea. During our stay we ate all meals and drinks provided by the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos. Something I ate or drank at the WA Los Cabos got me sick . I continued to had diarrhea the next night and in the morning on Aug 20 I decided to see the doctor. We contacted the concierge and arranged for the doctor to come to the room. The doctor examined me gave me medicine and said I was dehydrated and suggested I go to the ER in town. I did not want to go to an ER in Mexico and decided to fly home the next day and go to an ER back home in the US. This whole time I was sick my husband reached out to our concierge and never did management from the hotel check on how I was doing. I thought why did they not check on me? I called the front desk and asked to speak to a manager. I think I talked to Deborah Marquez and I asked why no one from management had checked on how I was doing? I also let her know I only ate and drank at
Perfect location and friendly staff. We recently stayed for a week with a party of 12. The rooms are a little older, but the grounds are pristine. The food was also pretty good. Lots of activities, and good drinks. Concierges Adrian and Dago really make things easy and regularly checked on us making sure we got i to the shuttle for our activities and checked in at the right place for the boat. The resort really cares about safety too. My father-in-law left his bag in a taxi and because they track who comes and goes, they were able to find the taxi driver and we got his bag back. We were also celebrating graduations, and Anniversary and birthdays and they went the extra mile to make everyone feel special. You can also travel in a free shuttle between their properties to enjoy the amenities at each. All Inclusive is the way to go here. ❤️ The brackets now also serve as a Room key. That was nice.
I should start by saying that I was here on business and did not book this hotel myself, it was chosen for me. The first night we checked in was fine, although the room was cold even after we turned the air conditioning off. The next day was when it really got bad. Just as I jumped out of the shower the room to my door opened! They had given another couple the key to my room to check in! I got dressed and went to the front desk only to be told that the room numbers are very confusing and it wouldn’t happen again!? I had all of my work equipment in the room (most of which didn’t fit in the safe), what would have happened if I wasn’t there and people had free access to everything in my room?? Not to mention if I was sleeping etc… I didn’t feel safe from that moment on. That night around 10pm the bar next door started blasting music. It was so loud I could actually feel the vibrations. This lasted until 5am! The hotel staff suggested ear plugs, white noise did not drown It out. We are going on our third night tonight and I honestly can not wait to get out of here but unfortunately we don’t check out for 2 more days. The pros: the hotel itself is clean and walking distance to everything.
We love Grand Solmar at Lands End. This was our 21st visit. Yes that’s right. 21st. We are owners at the timeshare and we go twice a year every year. I wanted to give a shout out to Fernanda at the front desk at check-in. She worked tirelessly to get us a room that we wanted. She was patient, cheerful, and a true delight to work with. We also love all of the Bell captains that work out front. Each and everyone does a great job getting the customers baggage in and out of the hotel. A few of the names I want to mention our Manny, Saul, Roberto, and so many others that I can’t remember the name. Thank you to each and everyone of you for another spectacular vacation. See you again soon..
DDeparture58045985709I stayed here for 5 days and the staff was so accommodating. The restaurant served great food and the premises were very clean. The only thing I would say is the bed was a bit too hard for my liking but still a great stay overall. The location is a good 15 minute walk from the Marina and tons of little bars and restaurants along the path. If you have a hard time sleeping with street traffic you may consider that as a drawback but it was like white noise for me, I slept well. I would definitely stay here again.
Had a harrowing experience at OYO Hotel Plaza Las Torres in Cabo San Lucas – an urgent warning for fellow travelers. We booked a stay, requested a one-day reservation change due to unforeseen issues. Upon arrival, shock awaited us – the hotel charged the full fee for the new date, demanding the remainder without clear communication. Front desk staff, struggling with English and relying on Google Translate, suggested seeking a refund from *******. *******, however, revealed the hotel's responsibility for charges. In the scorching heat, over an hour of frustration ensued, with repeated pleas for assistance met with silence until insisting on restroom use. Misleading charges, unhelpful staff, and a refusal to refund make OYO Hotel Plaza Las Torres an experience I wouldn't wish on any traveler. Besides all of this the description says the hotel is close to downtown but once you arrive you notice you’re at least a 20 minute walk from the edge of downtown and seems to make you feel uneasy with the amount of misinformation and the disinterest to help.
