Hotel is where the marina is. So it is nice. It is also the opposite end to where the castle is. Fortunately, Caernarfon is not very big. It's a nice 10 min walk along the coastal castle wall. What's unfortunate is that our toilet smells of urine and that the hotel doesnt really have a drop off drive way. The hotel uses public carpark for guests, so imagine when it rains. Reception is 1 floor up. More like a cashier counter. All in all, stay was fine, just a little "piss" off with the smell in the bathroom.

Set amidst apartment blocks on the Marina. Staff were friendly. The room had a rather strange musty smell and don’t expect a view. Whoever designed the rooms has a strange idea of what the ideal hotel room needs. Why are there clothes hangers above the chair? Struggling with that one! Why no hairdryer? Why no socket by the mirror? If it’s too complicated to get power to the mirror put an extra mirror above the existing socket. Why only one hand towel ? Why no bath mat? Why no glasses for the bathroom? (I should say shower room as there is no bath) Shower barely adequate. Very little pressure, temperature fluctuates, shower curtain leaks, no bath mat provided to mop up all the water. However, location is ideal. There is no onsite parking but a carpark extremely close for £7.50 a night at time of writing. Useful Morrisons supermarket opposite. A few restaurants on the marina, an Indian, Chinese and pub. A short stroll into the town and the castle. So all in all ok for a short stay. We had drinks at the Anglesea Arms by the castle and ate at the Seaview Indian on the marina. It was very nice. On a Monday night many places were closed and outside the town walls it was pretty rough. We walked to Costa in town for breakfast, however there is a pub doing breakfast next to the hotel if you prefer.

We thought this would be a good base for exploring Eryri National Park. Finding the parking was a bit confusing. Check in was efficient but the receptionist did not take the time to explain anything about the hotel - i.e. checkout time, breakfast, WiFi etc. There were no maps or information about the town in the lobby which would have been helpful to orient ourselves. The room was clean very basic. The hotel seemed to be seriously under staffed and the reception area was often empty. When my key stopped working on the second day I waited for staff before giving up and eventually getting the attention of a housekeeper to let me through the door on my floor. The shower lacked any pressure making showering a bit of an ordeal. The stay was fine but wouldn’t return. Overall poor value for the cost

We booked a cosy tent elsewhere and it was disgusting! Couldn't even stay there, thankfully Travelodge had space for us and a lovely empathetic welcome when we explained our circumstances, huge family room, very clean and comfortable. Cheered us all up.

We stayed 3 nights and booked breakfasts for 4people each day. Shocking experience. Cardboards boxes filled with cheap products( milk, chocolate pan, cornflakes and water.) anyway, last day we didn’t receive breakfast because of problems with supply. We been told to get refunds for missing breakfast and still waiting. Is 10 days after holidays and nothing!! Please sort it out Travelodge

Booked in fine room ok basic as I thought it would be but lot of dust on picture frame above bed , skirting bosrds very dusty needs checking after every clean to keep up to standard . But great place

Had a lovely stay in caernarfon visiting family over the bank holiday weekend, rooms lovely and clean and staff were very polite and welcoming, Hotel has had a refurbishment since I was last in the area and the addition of chargers near the bed was nice to see.

In the sleepy town of Caernarvon in June, Travelodge was affordable, great location & very quiet. I assume it had AC as rooms were cool on a hot night

Had a great stay in caernarfon again for a friend's birthday party, rooms were spotless and staff were really helpful with helping get taxis to and from the hotel, can't fault our stay.

Great stay at Caernarfon travelodge, room was clean and comfortable and the staff are all friendly and helpful with recommendations of places to visit and eat during my stay with my family will stay again.

Lovely stay in caernarfon, hotel was clean and comfortable, staff were helpful and friendly, a good selection of restaurants within walking distance will stay again in the future.

We stopped here after a trip Ireland as we planned to travel through Snowdonia and the Black Mountains on our way home.

Room door constantly rattling all night Parking is a public car park 300 yards away. The final straw was no hot water for the shower

Perfect location. Its walking distance to the castle and town centre and there were lots of eateries at very reasonable prices close by.
