內格拉海灘旅館

Un petit havre de paix face à la mer et bien situé tenu par Maryse et Pierre qui sont aux petits soins pour leurs hôtes. Jardin magnifique, piscine et pool house très agréables et chambre avec terrasse très bien agencés tout ça avec goût. Nous serions bien restés plus longtemps.

Un hôtel très bien situé et plein de charme très bien reçu par les hôtes au joli accent québécois Le parc est splendide les paresseux nous rendent visite et la plage est de l’autre côté du chemin Un espace commun près de la piscine fort agréable, un hôtel à taille humaine 😜😁

Super guesthouse idéalement situé face à la mer à 1 kL du centre de Cahuita ! Bar et restaurant à proximité. Chambre spacieuse et confortable ! Accueil très très sympathique !… Le tout dans une nature luxuriante avec piscine ! Je recommande fortement ! Pascal et Cathy

Une belle découverte, au calme, la plage très proche, un cottage très sympa et bien équipé avec sa terrasse donnant sur un merveilleux jardin ou vous croiserez de nombreux animaux (paresseux, agoutis, grenouilles, oiseau...) Marise et Pierre vous accueillerons chaleureusement et en toute simplicité. Pierre partagera avec vous sa passion de la faune et la flore. Pura Vida

This is a lovely property with beautiful grounds, spacious room and welcoming owners. We stayed 6 nights and really appreciated the pool, gardens and convenience of being right across the road from the beach. We stayed in room 1 and we’re so happy we chose one with a/c as it really got toasty during the day. It’s a 10-15 min walk to the village center for restaurants and small groceries. We saw sloths & toucans on the property as well as countless birds. Book it and you’ll be as happy as we were!

Agree with some of the other reviews here: why this property got such good reviews is beyond me. The rooms are basic, dark and have bugs. There is nothing really special here. Would not recommend. The hosts seem to be mad at their guests. There are nice animals to see around the property though.

My family just completed our fourth stay at Playa Negra Guesthouse. We first came here when our kids were young and they still love coming to PNG as adults. The hosts, Marise and Pierre, are lovely and consistently go above and beyond to make your stay extra special. Over the years Marise has arranged zip-lining, white water rafting, hikes in the Cahuita National Park, snorkeling, transpo to/from San Jose, transpo to/from the Cahuita bus terminal, etc. for us. She works with trusted local operators who they know, having owned PNG for many years. You pay the tour operator, taxi service, etc. directly. It’s always a reasonable price. PNG is not earning any commission - they are simply being helpful. All that being said, we now stay at PNG for the tranquility of it and not the excursions. The grounds are a jungle paradise with geckos, sloths, poison dart frogs, birds and more galore. The pool is gorgeous and there’s a well-stocked honor bar that also includes soft drinks, water, juice, etc. The rooms and bungalows are spacious and clean. Just across the street is the Caribbean beach. PNG is a short walk into town where there are plenty of dining options, shops, a large supermarket, and the Cahuita National Park. There are also great dining options within steps of PNG. We highly recommend Playa Negra Guesthouse and can’t wait to return again.

This was our second visit to the Playa Negra Guesthouse and it was just as magical as we remembered. We will be back! Marise and Pierre are the best hosts and maintain the grounds and accomodations beautifully. While relaxing at the pool we saw sloths and iguanas just doing their thing in the trees above. So cool! The beach is easily accessible across a quiet little street. Bars and restaurants can be found with just a short walk in either direction. The entrance to Cahuita National Park is about a 15 minute walk. We did not have a car, so we rented bikes from a souvenir store in town and got around Cahuita that way. There are shuttles/taxis available if needed for further exploration. Whenever we had questions about the area, things to do or where to eat, Marise always had answers and was happy to help. Highly recommend!

Cahuita was our first main stop in our Costa Rica itinerary, and this accommodation was delightful. In contrast to some of the brash hotels we stayed in at other locations in Costa Rica - the Playa Negra Guesthouse cottage really blended in with the beautiful tropical Caribbean environment, but also had the necessary comforts of clean serviced accommodation, pool, and attractive grounds. We ate our meals on our cottage's private terrace, and the kitchen had the basic essentials needed. Our accommodation had ceiling fans rather than AC and this kept us adequately cool. Lovely to be so up close to see and hear wildlife, and just across the road from beach. Short stroll into the main part of Cahuita. The guesthouse complex was quite secure including car parking.
