I had a great time staying at summer house. The bed are very comfy and the room is clean. Although I’d recommend cleaning the bathroom more frequently. The staff is very friendly and are always willing to help, specially Martin, who’s been very nice, patient and polite.

Rooms were clean and tidy I slept well every night and the bathrooms were at a good standard. The kitchen was not big enough for the amount of people staying their and half of the plug sockets didn’t work in the kitchen and I let the reception know but they didn’t do much about it, also on the first week I was their my food bag got taken when the staff were doing the deep clean and all my information was written. When I first arrived I realised the hostel wasn’t very social and most guest are very reluctant to speak or acknowledge you, most of the hostel we’re either French or Italians, overall I don’t think I will stay again.

very social hostel, but the kitchen is way too small for the size of the hostel. You get your own set of plates, cups etc which is pretty good also free towel hire. Free breakfast is nice but nothing special. A lot of activities but the Bingo is very boring in contrast to other hostels.

The hostel was very nice, Martin helped me at the reception a lot of times, with a very good willingness to help me and explain all the facilities of the place. The hostel has a bus every half hour to go to the city, bicycles to ride, nice breakfast and pancakes on Sunday, everything free!! Super Recommended!! Araceli

Great atmosphere and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and quiet, best sleep I had in a while! It’s close to the esplanade and the botanical gardens, so it’s a perfect location if you like to go for a walk. Also breakfast is included, what’s not to love!

Really nice hostel, lovely pool, lovely drinks and lovely staff. Liam will sort you out with anything. Rooms are clean and simple. Food in restaurant is also really tasty. Would recommend to anyone staying in Cairns

Lovely pool area with hammocks, amazing food at the serpent bar, activities on everyday which are great fun, free days out which ended up being at the most beautiful waterfall, staff were lovely and so were the people staying in the hostel! We were sad to leave!
