納帕谷四季度假酒店

From the start of the reservation to the planning of events and the not making up the rooms until we called at 430 nothing has gone well . Decided to stay in for my birthday and have dinner . Burnt bread, dry pasta , bad fruit . People here are very good at one thing “saying I am sorry “ This place gets a zero .

I am truly a Four Seasons fan and have stayed in their Santa Barbara, Milan and my favorite of all time, The George V in Paris, but I've never stayed at a casita-concept designed from scratch Four Seasons property. We had a very large suite, which was flawlessly appointed. I literally could not think of one thing which was missing (OK, the minibar fridge could have been a bit larger in order to make it useful, waaaa). They truly thought of everything, down to the toilet paper holder that incorporates a shelf on which to rest your cell phone. Genius! There is simply not much worthy of complaint. High cost comes with the territory, but it was dear indeed, costing the same as our recent 10-day cruise, especially as the county and state levied taxes seemingly derived from a fever dream. The location, which is in adorable Calistoga, is not ideal for easy access to the major wineries (there is a winery on the property as well as a really decent restaurant called Truss). No pebble was out of place, nor a bush allowed to be bushy. Everything was spotless. Everyone was super polite, and honestly so. I'm pleased we tried it, but for me, it was too sterile for my taste.

La Napa Valley est très différente ce que j'avais imaginé et les hôtels de luxe y sont finalement moins nombreux que prévu, sauf aux niveau des tarifs mirobolants (attention aux taxes cachées et autres resorts fee, typiquement pratiqué par les hôtels aux USA et souvent non justifiés). Après avoir visité plusieurs hôtels dont le très joli Alila à St.Helena, le FS Napa fut une surprise 10/10. La location de l'hôtel est parfaite, au milieu des vignes et à juste 10 minutes à pied, ou 5 avec un vélo fourni gratis par l'hôtel, pour rejoindre le centre si charmant de Calistoga. L'hôtel reflète vraiment le luxe de la Californie du nord et j'ai adoré de pouvoir prendre un cours de yoga au Spa, avec cette vue incroyable sur les vignes et les montagnes de Mayacama au loin... Un endroit magique où l'on aimerait bien presser sur la touche "pause" afin que le temps s'arrête un instant !
