Had a nice room! It was within walking distance of downtown. Room was very clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast the next day was so good- Homemade bread, coffee cake with great coffee- Would recommend if you are looking for a budget friendly, clean and friendly motel while visiting a lovely town.

The owner who greeted us after 6:00 pm was more than willing to chat and offer advice about a few places in town. I either missed or forgot that they offer a continental breakfast as we booked several months ahead. She inquired about dietary restrictions which I thought was very thoughtful. One of the coffee choices was dark roast...thank you! Very reasonable priced, close to town, and clean! This was a short stay as the last leg of our trip, but we would love to return to Camden. We ate at Franny's, Long Grain, and Mosaic, and all 3 restaurants were excellent. Paper Plane for cocktails was lovely as well.

Great little motel that did not break the bank. Good location. Excellent customer service. Comfortable beds. Roomy. Clean. Everything we needed. Best yogurt I have ever eaten and delicious coffee cake! We felt welcomed immediately. I highly recommend this gem.

We appreciated the large room in the original part of the hotel, and even though it faced the busy street, it was very quiet due to what appeared to be new windows. We loved the breakfast with freshly baked coffee cakes, homemade granola and yummy fruit yogurt. The king bed was comfortable, although on the firm side. The location was perfect for us as it was not to far from the bus stop going back to Portland, but the staff was kind enough to give us a much appreciated lift at 8 am. We would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at The Towne Motel. Freshly baked breakfast and convenient location. Room was clean and Bed was ok. We didn't walk to town, but I believe it was close enough that you could. Owner was nice and very helpful. Plenty of parking.

Charming and spotless family run motel with 5-minute walk to center of town. Thank you Katja and Siobhan for the delicious homemade pastries for breakfast in the cozy dining room. We would definitely return on our next trip to Maine! Highly recommend The Towne Motel!

Towne Motel is a quaint New England motel. Very comfortable and quiet. Very clean and welcoming. Nice walk to the harbour and shops. Our room was nicely decorated and we appreciated having a Keurig available. Katja recommended some of the local restaurants and reminded us of the continental breakfast available in the morning.

Wonderful little motel bright airy and clean just a short walk from the town and harbour. Close by is Camden Hills State park with excellent trails for hiking and running. Great homemade breakfast yoghurt fruits, bakes and juices. Far far better than most B&Bs at a much more reasonable rate. Lots of attention to detail and great hosts will definitely book again.

Cosy place, very friendly hosts. Breakfast prepared with a lot of attention to detail with home made goodies. Short walk down to the harbour where you find some nice places for a pint or a meal. Would book it again if back in the area, can only recommend it to you all.

It would be adequate for a quick night stay. Stayed in the (very small) Queen studio above the garage. We were told this was their best room. It was very private. One towel each for multiple day stay. It had an awkward entrance, no landscaping to the narrow hidden entrance...just weeds, parking was located near the garbage collection area. Amenities are worn out (chipped tub/shower, stained carpet, etc, could use a freshening remodel. Breakfast was lovely the first morning in the quaint home with protein choices, but all carbs thereafter. We were very excited to explore Camden. Unfortunately, the tone for our day took a nose dive when the unfriendly Innkeeper scolded us for dumping melted water from our cooler after it had rained on a mudpuddle filled wet driveway (where the ice machine is located). Probably would look elsewhere. It was just okay for the $. The best part was the convenient location.

Not sure why others have given this motel such positive reviews except maybe for the location walking distance to town. Maybe just the room we got (peeling paint, faulty shower head, soap dispensers that refuse to dispense anything, older and cheaper furnishings) and timing as the two owners were in terrible moods. They originally agreed to a 2pm check in then changed their mind and required that we wait until 3pm which forced me to reschedule a work zoom call scheduled to start at 3pm. It is at best a 2.5 star motel by appearance that possibly deserves a 3 star rating if they fix the shower and change their attitude toward guests. We disliked it so much, we left after one night despite paying for a second night which they would not refund. Be warned.

What a lovely place to stay. Fabulous location- walking distance to where all the action is and charming accommodations, including home baked goodies for breakfast. Very kind and efficient management/owners. Would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our stay here. Our room was very clean and comfortable. It was nice to be able to walk into town and not have to search for a place to park. The home baked breads at breakfast were very good. Our only complaint is that the outlets in the room were so old that our plugs would not stay in to charge our devices.

From San Diego, California to Camden, Maine. My daughter and I stayed in The Towne Motel for 3 days and 2 nights for the Lobsterfest in Rockland. My daughter is a flight attendant and on her layovers all over the country the word "Motel" did not make her feel comfortable. Let's just say she was very pleasantly surprised because she said this place was so much better than lots of big name Hotels and Suites she has stayed. We were both very happy with everything from the owners to staff. The room was very clean and the beds very comfortable. The location was great, a walking distance to town with lots of shops, restaurants and activities to do. The daily continental breakfast was delicious with different home made pastries (that you see on their website). Sitting outside sipping coffee and planning the day was stress-free and relaxing. The owners (Katja) emailed in advance to welcome us and even allowed us to check in early. Siobhan's home made goodies and breakfast setup was delicious. The young staff were friendly and helpful. Don't be short sighted by the word "motel" because this place is run like a 5-star Inn. Highly recommend !!! Thank you again Katja and Siohban for your hospitality and a well run place.
