霍頓美景精品旅館(Living Hotel Lion's Eye)

This was incredible. Wherever you sit, stand, lay…. You got the view! This boutique hotel fulfills every wish you might possible have. The staff is overall amazing. We are thrilled, bedazzled, fascinated and just happy to have been here. We stayed in the Atlantic, that is what you call a room with a view! Thank you, lions eye!!!

L'hôtel est idéalement placé, la vue est juste incroyable. Nous avions pris une chambre vue mer, la décoration est moderne et soignée, la chambre spacieuse et confortable et le jacuzzi sur la terrasse avec vue sur la baie en font vraiment en endroit d'exception. Un garage est disponible sur place gratuitement. Les restaurants de camps bay se trouvent à 3 minutes en voiture. Tout était parfait

We had the Houghton View Guest House booked for 4 nights stay in May 2022, however we had to cancel our stay due to personal circumstances (cancelled within refund period). It was impossible to get in touch with the manager, despite numerous e-mails, phone calls, messages left, there was no communication back in relation to our refund. On one occasion when I managed to speak to the manager, he reassured that I will be refunded, however money never appeared. After chasing, almost for two months with no success and no reply, *********** refunded our stay. Very poor customer service and communication.

We stayed for 2 nights recently and were disappointed. The views definitely are fantastic and the villa itself is nice enough (nice rooms, small pool never in the sun) A lot of what they advertise on their website was not shown to us, or did not exist Breakfast "by the pool or sun decks" - tables were only setup inside, there were only bean bags outside - never asked if we wanted to sit outside instead. "Cocktail and milkshake menu" - never saw or were offered this "Concierge" - never mentioned when we checked in, there are no staff on site so not sure how this would work "Turn down service between 6-10pm" - this would be impossible since the cleaning staff leave the property at 6pm "Free wine" - never mentioned, doesn't exist "Cinema room" - never shown to us or made available "On site manager" - apart from breakfast and housekeeping, we never saw staff on site Individually, these items are no big deal, but collectively it is disappointing. At a minimum, the website should be updated to more accurately reflect what is available. There were clearly some bad incidents in the past, however the property seems more focused on enforcing and reminding you of the many rules, rather than showing any concern for the quality of your stay. We emailed these complaints and received no response. Not what one would expect from a 5 star hotel (which is also prominently displayed in the header of their website).

Nach langer Suche haben wir dieses guesthouse gefunden. Die Zeit hier war einfach traumhaft. Wir wurden wärmstens empfangen und das Zimmer ist mit einem Hotel nicht zu vergleichen! Man findet alles sauber vor und die Austattung geht von Haarföhn über den Whirlpool bis hin zum Regenschirm. Es bietet eine Garage und alles was man sich als Gast wünscht. Dieses guesthouse kann ich jedem weiterempfehlen!!

Living Lions eye hotel gave us the honeymoon of dreams! We stayed in the Atlantic suite which surpassed all our expectations and was the nicest room we have ever stayed in on any of our travels. The staff were amazing, especially Colin who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The hotel is very relaxed and the breakfast every morning was gorgeous. It is in an ideal location, walking distance during the day to camps bay. Thank you very much to all the staff for making our stay so special. We have memories to last a lifetime.

We had a 3 night stay in living hotel lion’s eye and can not fault it. Upon arrival Lwando was extremely welcoming and made every effort to get us checked into our room early. Room was one of the most stunning we have ever stayed in. We had the Atlantic suite which was huge with amazing sea views and had exceptional amenities such as a hot tub on the balcony, Ghd hairdryer and straighteners, free bottled water throughout the day and free laundry. Breakfast was good but the lunch we did have at the hotel we particularly enjoyed. The location of the hotel is fantastic with a short 10 min walk (felt very safe) down to camps bay beach and promenade. If you are wanting a modern clean hotel with great service in the camps Bay Area we would highly recommend this one and will be returning!

Excellent accommodation in the heart of Camps Bay. Staff exceptional. Property simply amazing. It is clear that this Hotel is well managed and looked after by the staff. Thank you so much for providing is with a memorable stay! Keep up the good work.

The shower was covered in black mould and grime and bedding with stains all over it (see photos attached), which was shocking given the glossy portrayal online. For the price we paid per night, it was utterly unacceptable. We left after just one night out of our planned four-night stay due to the disappointment. There are far better options available for less money. Don't bother staying here; you will be disappointed and it's nothing like what's advertised, with half the amenities shown in the photos being non-existent. I recommend reading the negative reviews here and on other platforms like Google, as they accurately reflect our experience. Today we commence with legal proceedings to recover our money as the 'manager' has failed to acknowledge or respond to a single email and/or issue a refund. Finally, have you ever stayed in a hotel that requires you to sign an inventory of every single item in the room? Well this place does!
