波茨伍德酒店(The Portswood Hotel)

The breakfast was great, the location was fantastic with the V and A waterfront a few meters away.

Location is great ... some rooms have noisy AC

Estuve alojada en el hotel por 5 noches. Al segundo día, voy a tomar mi dinero, el cual estaba en mi billetera , adentro de mi equipaje y este, cerrado con llave. Al abrirlo, me encuentro con el amargo , triste, desilusiónante momento, de que mi dinero no estaba. Eran dólares , moneda americana. . Me agarró mucha impotencia. Me había quedado sin el dinero para disfrutar de mis vacaciones Me dirijo a recepción, en la cual, nadie me escuchó, a nadie le importó. No me respondieron y menos me dieron una respuesta a mi amargura y robo Saben que el servicio de mucama, roban mucho. Ya me encargaré de recuperar mi dinero robado. Lástima que no leí antes los comentarios . Ya que aparecen varios con la misma problemática. Deberían hacerse cargo de esto o tendrán que cerrar el hotel. Las habitaciones son muy antiguas, con mucho olor a humedad. Viejas y feas. El desayuno, horrible y el personal muy poco amable. NO VOLVERÍA. Y consejo, NO VAYANN !!!!!!z la van a pasar mal , les van a robar y no les darán respuesta. MALA EXPERIENCIA 😡😡😡😡😡😡. Esas dos personas, son de terror

Estuve en marzo con mi pareja y amigos. Hemos sufrido un robo en la habitación Me robaron plata y joyas de la caja fuerte y de mi valija que estaba cerrada con candado Me dirigí inmediatamente a recepción , me atendió RUZAAN, la cual, se me rió en mi cara y me contestó que ellos no eran responsable de lo sucedido Me enteré por este medio, que en febrero había pasado algo parecido . Lastima que no lo leí antes, porque no hubiese ido a ese hotel. Que además, tiene habitaciones antiguas y con mucho olor a humedad Lo único bueno, es la ubicación

Handily placed standard comfortable city hotel, on the edge of the V&A district, so I wouldn’t describe it as “Cape Town Central” (about a half hour walk). We only ate there one night as there are loads of eateries in the V&A but had a very decent evening meal. Breakfast was fabulous. Staff in the restaurant were delightful.

To be fair the only complaint, and this is digging deep, the wi fi isn't the best! Otherwise we had a great time at the hotel, so close to the V&A waterfront, felt like royalty when our car was taken on our arrival and brought back each time we wanted to use it! Seriously cannot think of any other negatives, if we come back we would definitely stay here again

We stayed only one night but the room was exceptional. Well stocked with a hot pot and coffee maker. Really good complimentary shortbread and hot chocolate mix. The room was quiet although in the Wahrf district. From the outside, the building was a little dated but inside first class all the way. The redone bathroom was luxurious--I felt I had to take a bath, bath salts and foam included. And the included breakfast makes this a place I would easily want to stay again.

My husband and I stayed at the Portswood hotel for 5 nights and found it to be in a safe location central to everything. It presents well and is very clean and tidy. Our room view of the Cape Wheel especially at dawn was stunning and we found the room met for all our needs. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast each morning from the vast choices and I feel I had the best omelette I have ever tasted compliments of the chef who prepared it in front of me. Nothing was every too much trouble. I enjoyed a Titanic cocktail from the bar and unwinded in the courtyard surrounding the pool which was very relaxing after a day of sightseeing. All the staff were welcoming and friendly with a smile on their faces, genuinely happen to see you. We would highly recommend the Portswood for any stay in Cape Town.
