普利米大海城堡酒店

Mooie kamers, fijn zwembad met zit- en liggelegenheid. Bar vlakbij het zwembad, lekkere cocktails. Schoon en smaakvol ingericht. Tegenover het strand. In het rustige deel van Camps Bay, op loopafstand van de restaurants ed. Wij verbleven in een standaardkamer, nummer 6. Prima kamer, mooi ingericht en schoon en op de verdieping van de ontbijtzaal en het zwembad. Je kleding ophangen is een uitdaging. Wat weinig kastruimte. Maar als je uitgaat van een twee/driedaags verblijf, goed te doen. Een ruime keuze, ook vegan!!! echt top op het ontbijt menu. Lekkere sappen, infused water, zalige koffie(soorten), vers fruit, healthy cup cakes, yoghurt en ontbijtgranen. Prima verzorgd. Keurig personeel. We zijn heel fijn geholpen door Milton, die een veilige taxi voor ons regelde naar de luchthaven én we hebben ook nog heel gezellig met hem gekletst. Ook Andrew is erg aardig en super behulpzaam. Hij ging meteen bellen om te proberen om iets te regelen voor ons, twee dames, toen hij hoorde dat onze vlieghaven transfer niet goed was afgesproken en de taxi 1 dag te vroeg gekomen was. En hij kwam een bakje brengen omdat hij zag dat we zakje chips bij hadden. Het zijn van die kleine dingen die het speciaal maken, oog voor detail. En allebei kunnen ze zalige cocktails maken. Niet geheel onbelangrijk :) De complimenten aan deze twee heren, Milton & Andrew, toppers in de hospitality branche. Deze mannen maken sfeer in dit fijne boutique hotel. Vanaf het zwembadterras heb je een geweldig uitzicht op het strand. Er staan 2 schommelstoelen en een lange tafel met banken, en twee grote ligzakken. Je voelt je de koning te rijk als je de zonsondergang bekijkt en met een lekker drankje aan die tafel zit. 's Avonds wel een beetje opletten als je terugloopt naar het hotel, het ligt op een donkere rustige plek. Boek een Uber als je in het donker, tijdens load shedding!, terug naar je hotel gaat, ook al is het vanaf de Tigers Mill op 50 meter afstand. Just to be save. Maar dat is sowieso verstandig. Niet op straat zijn tijdens load shedding in de avond, waar dan ook. Boek met een gerust hart dit fijne hotel. Een tip mbt restaurants, de trendy places werken met reservering, minimaal 1 dag van te voren reserveren.

La ubicación de este hotel es inmejorable, frente a la playa y con vistas a los doce apóstoles. Muy cómodo, bien decorado y con un trato excelente por parte del personal del hotel. Buena seguridad, y con restaurantes a menos de 100 metros

Het is geen hotel maar een zeer kleinschalig guesthouse. 4 sterren zie ik echt niet. Check in chaotisch, verkeerde kamer gegeven. Vieze badkamer met zelfs geroeste prullenbak en toilet borstel. Deur kleppert en licht schijnt hele nacht erdoorheen. Ramen sloten niet zonder geweld. Enz. Personeel reageerde niet op de klacht. Enkel de lokatie. Vrij dichtbij het strand en witte lakens waren positief.

The Good - Lovely decorated rooms, we had a small terrace which had no views, but we were fine with that. (Room1) Staff were friendly enough. Great location by the beach. Muffins at Breakfast were to due for!!! The Bad- We could hear the staff downstairs talking all night. We were by the back door, so had people walking in the hall coming back from a night out, so noisy. We didn’t feel we could trust that nothing would be taken due to a letter in our room stating that anything left in the rooms were at our own risk and not the hotels fault if stolen, seen these letters before in hotels, but this just felt a bit dodgy. Parking it was a nightmare. They only have 4-5 spaces and even the staff said some cars parked there diodnt belong to the hotel. It was terrible. To find the place is horrendous! You need to go round the back of the hotel, down a one way street, you will see a small sign called Seacastle. This is where you park, but only on the left hand side. We then made the mistake of trying to get into th wrong building by going upstairs. What you need to do, is go down the end of the parking area, turn left and go past the spa area, there is a door on you right hand side on the far end. You then go downstairs to reception. They really need a sign in the car park, on the room and to state where to go! It was not a great start to our time here in Primi Seacastle and really put a damper on the whole trip due to it taking so long to find anything! Breakfast was ok. The best thing was the muffins. Other than that, its nothing special. However, I ma sure it will be nicer if you can sit outside with a lovely sea view.

Andrew and his team at Primi Seacastle were extremely friendly and helpful and provided several useful tips. The room was very tastefully decorated, had all necessary amenities, with a view over the ocean. Beach is just on the other side of the road, shops, restaurants and the stop of the Hop-On/Hop-Off bus are three minutes walk away. If Camps Bay is not enough to make you want to stay much longer in Capetown, the Primi Seacastle Hotel should be! Very highly recommended!!

A great location and stunning view. A strange checkin experience though as hard to find entrance to hotel. A pretty expensive hotel with a very small bedroom but close to restaurants- highly recommend BoVine and Hussar Grill. The photo of our room 3 seemed to have a king bed but we had a queen. The staff were friendly and the breakfasts were top class and healthy. Parked our car in the driveway each day. Would be a top spot in summer.

This boutique hotel was beyond expectations. The staff are friendly and helpful, the beach is across the road and the view is to die for!! This is our first time in Cape Town and we’re so happy we booked, easy access to the beach and the local restaurants/bars. The rooms are very nice and clean, and the staff helped us book multiple trips out and restaurant reservations (Thank you Andrew and team). I’m currently sitting on the balcony, beer in hand and looking at the stars and listening to the waves. Such a great place.

Primi Castle is located right at the beach in Camps Bay, Capetown. Our rooms/apartments were facing the ocean, each with their own terrace/balcony with, in our case, a table and chairs and 2 sunbeds. If it gets too hot you can open the umbrella. The room we had was spacious, well equipped and above all very clean. And, as an exception to the rule in South Africa, everything was in working condition and in one piece. We always bring some small tools with me, just in case, but we did not need them. The fridge in the room and the little kitchenette were also a welcome feature. The one thing I could not fix was the scheduled powercuts (called loadshedding) by the National Power company ESKOM. Although we have stayed at locations where they installed generators to cope with this, Primi Castle does not have one (yet), or only a small one for the office, because the WIFI kept working (our room was situated near the office). They do supply portable lights and also place them in the corridors. Being on holiday this was not a big deal for us. Made us appreciate the fact that at home there is always power. Breakfast was served in the breakfastroom/bar/pool-deck and had plenty options to choose from. But the best at Primi is the friendly staff. Especially Andrew and Gloria from the reception are great and make you feel welcome. In short: we will definitely be staying there when visiting the Cape.

Camps Bay is also where people from Cape Town come for the nightlife and Cape Town’s celebrities hang out. We greatly enjoyed Camps Bay staying at Primi Seacastle - nice B&B close to the town and beach with comfy rooms and gorgeous views of the beach.
