玫瑰海岸山莊酒店(Villa Costa Rose - No Loadshedding)

In unseren Flitterwochen waren wir 6 Tage in der Villa untergebracht. Wir haben uns in der Zeit sehr wohl gefühlt. Neil hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und direkt allerhand Restaurant Tipps mit auf den Weg gegeben. 4 davon haben wir auch ausgetestet und waren jedes Mal sehr zufrieden. Das Zimmer war sauber und schön wohnlich. Einen kleinen Abzug gibt es für die Toilettenspülung. Man musste zwei, drei Mal spülen bis alles weg war. Ebenso einen kleinen Abzug bekommt das Frühstück. Es ist klein aber fein und man wird satt, keine Frage. Auch macht Neill auf Wunsch Eier und Pancakes. Wenn man aber mehrere Nächte dort ist, ist das Frühstück schnell auserzählt. Mir persönlich fehlt es beim Käse (eine Sorte Scheiben- und eine Sorte Streichkäse) sowie bei nur einer Sorte Wurst die Abwechslung. Es wäre wünschenswert wenn man da hin und wieder auch anderen Aufschnitt anbietet. Unterm Strich kann man die gut gelegene Unterkunft in der Nähe zu einem Stop des Hop on Hop Off Busses sehr empfehlen.

We had the most wonderful two night stay at Villa Costa Rose. Our room was fantastic, very large and exceptionally clean. The balcony bed was exquisite for catching the afternoon sun. Breakfast was cooked to order and there was an excellent choice. The location is great, just five minutes walk to the local restaurants on Main Road. The best bit of all was the owner Neil. He has a warm friendly personality and is very helpful and knowledgeable about Cape Town. Nothing is too much trouble and we would stay again in a heartbeat. I really enjoyed being your Yorkshire sister!

As always during the last years we got a very warm welcome from Neil and Rob, thanks for everything, booking the airport transfer, the bottle of Cap Classique, we have had at home for year end😘, for many many years we always feel at home, cozy, stylish, and even the budget room is big enough for two big suitcases, the breakfast has everything to offer you may need, very clean rooms, the perfect location with restaurants and bars in walking distance, short way to the hopper bus station, we love your house, the dray could not have been better, hope you had a wonderful Christmas time and all the best for 2024, Thomas & Birgit

Fantastic experience, right from the beginning, with effective and detailed communication from Neil prior to and during check-in. The garden room was spacious, quiet, clean and comfortable and the garden itself, just beautiful. The pool was clean and the pool area was well-maintained with enough space for all guests (plus the cat) to enjoy it, especially with the beautiful aroma of jasmine all around. Breakfast selection was extensive and delicious, with both hot and cold options. There were enough tables for all guests to eat inside or outside. Neil had heaps of suggestions for activities and dining. One standout was La Bohême, just round the corner. Fantastic cocktails and extensive tapas menu (get the bâo buns). Security was top notch, we key fob entry to the property, individual room key and a key code safe in our wardrobe.

Set in the heart of Sea Point, this house is decorated with originality and taste. Neil Rose is a wonder host who is always available to give you a tip on something. Our room was large, quiet and very comfortable; soft pillows and an excellent bed. Breakfast is delicious: you just feel at home. Bravo!

Lots of helpful email traffic via *********** before arrival – much appreciated – thank you Because of the overnight nature of the flight I had booked the room from 31/1 so that we could get access to it from our arrival – so we bought 4 nights and stayed for 3 After our flight from UK we appreciated the warm welcome from Neil – we were shown all security measures – and after breakfast a very detailed and welcomed breakdown of eating and drinking locations locally and by the Waterfront - also walking routes - safety tips - location of hop on hop off bus stops – downloading the Eskom app for load-shedding – and uploading the Uber app We stayed in Room 7 for 4 nights – king room with a balcony - large space – entrance hall - separate sitting area with sofa and fridge – flat-screen TV - 3 windows - 2 Juliet balconies – through to large master - large comfy bed - 2 wardrobes - chest of drawers - side tables and lamps - controllable air conditioning - doors to balcony with table and chairs - relaxing area - bathroom large - separate bath and shower - latter excellent in terms of flow and control - overall a very comfortable room Breakfast cooked to order - high standard - fruits cold meats cheese plus toast on offer - indoor and outdoor dining Neil’s thorough and welcomed briefing drew attention to 6 restaurants – we ate at 4 of his recommendations - never disappointed – all offering interesting menus tasty food and good value – La Boheme (lunch and dinner) Gambas (2 dinners) La Parada (lunch) and Den Anker(lunch) There is a small pool with loungers – but did not use VCR is set in a residential area – just a short walk (less than 10 minutes) uphill from Sea Point’s main road with all its many shops and restaurants – we found the area safe to walk around at night and had no issues walking back to VCR after dinner The promenade is a further 5 minute walk away - we walked along the promenade to Victoria & Alfred Waterfront and Camps Bay – we also used the hop on hop off bus with the nearest stop being outside the Winchester Hotel Although we didn’t see the need to have a car during this stage of our trip VCR has parking spaces to its front and there are also nearby on-street spaces After our time at VCR and Sea Point – I can’t recommend both too highly - and I feel good that I chose a winner based on Trip Advisor and Hotel website - we would return Thank you everyone - Neil and Rob - Phumesa and Gloria - who contributed to our stay – thank you

This guesthouse is top-notch, very cozy and beautiful. Neil is a great host and the staff is absolutely wonderful. They made us feel very welcomed and Neil gave us great tips/recommendations during our stay. Also a perfect location in Sea Point which is very walkable to tasty restaurants and the coast line.

It was my 5th visit at villa Costarose ( after 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017) and it is as good as it was. The hosts Neil and Rob are superb owners ready to give you all advices you need. the gusthouse is located in Seapoint in a very safe area with a lot of restaurants and bars. Thx a lot for all and see you again for a next stay

What a wonderful experience, the perfect balance between a bed and breakfast and a place that feels like home. It's cozy and quaint and yet there is adequate privacy. The bed was soooooooooo comfortable my goodness and the layout of the room was just perfect. The breakfast in the morning was just too divine and Neil and his staff made me feel like I was home! I will definitely be back. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
