We arrived at the hotel for the last two nights of our stay in Cape Town on the Easter long weekend. We booked the split level studio apar**ent with balcony overlooking the street. Upon arrival we were given a very poor basic, first floor, flat level apar**ent that overlooked the car park and smells from the restaurant vents below. It had a window in the bedroom that overlooked an inner courtyard with public access so anyone could look in. The blinds from the kitchen were broken and the place was dark and dingy - we have stayed in better hostels. We talked to reception staff who were not helpful or apologetic of our concerns and advised that they would need to speak to the manager the following day to see if we could be moved. At the time of speaking to reception another gentleman came and complained that he did not have the correct room either, so we were not alone! We could only conclude that due to the Easter holidays and that we booked in advance and got a cheaper rate, that they moved us in favour of a higher price tag! We were so disappointed as we had been looking forward to our stay. We ended up leaving the hotel and going elsewhere. This maybe a good place to stay if what you book is what you get but buyer beware that you may not get this at this hotel as the pictures do not reflect the standard shown.
