The suite (room 2911) offers a spectacular view of the city and part of the waterfront. Rooms are spacious, modern and clean. This suite has 2 bathrooms, bedroom, lounge, dining/office area, tea/coffee station. Beautifully decorated with books and sea shells and current artworks. The elevator is glass and hence offers a good view also. The designated parking is far too tight though. Not a comfortable experience to park there. Buffet dinner is adequate. On this stay we met the Indian chef who did cook a very flavourful Briyani and jeera aloo.

Posizione centralissima, garage gratuito, hotel bello e confortevole, camere grandi e spaziose,colazione ottima e varia, decisamente da provare anche il centro massaggi che offre servizi a prezzi ottimi. Non mi ha pienamente soddisfatto la pulizia della stanza, spesso ho trovato capelli su asciugamani, wc pulito superficialmente, cestini non svuotati, in un hotel così questo non deve succedere. Ottimi i cocktail al bar, preparati da un ragazzo molto disponibile. Wi-Fi a singhiozzo.

Good quality stay in the heart of the Cape Town CBD. Excellent meals. Beautiful rooms with a view of the mountain. Parking narrow and problematic. Enjoy the use of lifts - just the nieuws. But worth it for the business traveller. I will return

This is a large busy hotel located in a central location. We were a family group with three rooms, all of which were clean and comfortable. On arrival at the hotel, we were checked in quickly and efficiently and were offered sweets from a complimentary sweet bar adjacent to the Reception Desks. Our bags were delivered to our rooms by a very pleasant friendly gentleman. The rooms were quite large and had complimentary bottles of water in the fridge along with little packets of sweets. The bathroom was clean and had toiletries provided. The safe provided was great, extra large to handle laptops etc. The lifts had glass fronts and operated quickly. The lobby area was lovely. We had breakfast each morning and this was varied and tasty. We had dinner at the buffet a couple of nights although there is also a restaurant at the bar area in the lobby. We travelled to the Victoria Waterfront a couple of nights via Uber and this was convenient as there is an area immediately in front of the hotel to facilitate pickups and set downs. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at the Southern Sun Cape Sun.

I had an amazing time; they have changed my perception about hotels. Breakfast was great every day, comfy bed and service. This is officially my hotel of choice. The hotel offered plenty of parking and their room service was also efficient.

I would just like to point out that I don’t do revues as a rule as I suffer from dyslexia, so righting this review takes a long time, but I feel I needed to do this. Me and my wife came to cape down to celebrate our 40th anniversary on the 22nd January on arriving at your hotel we were amazed at the lovely atmosphere and elegance in this place, with the piano playing in the back ground (very nice touch) we stayed for 5 days and we feel the staff were very friendly and helpful always with a big smile and help make this hotel what it is first class. Beautiful room and such lovely views, the restraint and food were very good to, I could go on and on. We were also very touched when the manager came up to our room with a tray off chocolates and drinks to wish us a happy 40th anniversary, sorry did not get his name. We stayed here between Christmas and New Year. The location is good, in downtown Cape Town, and about a 25 minute walk to the V&A Waterfront. There are also hourly free shuttles to and from the waterfront. Breakfast is a standard 4* and the rooms have lovely views of the city and mountain, depending on the position and height of the room. They managed to accommodate a huge amount of people as the hotel was clearly very full and all remained very friendly and helpful.

14:00 辦理入住時，接待處只有 1 人！永遠等待著幫助！ 當天晚上晚些時候，我和女兒演奏了一段不到一分鐘的鋼琴二重奏（注意：非常輕柔），酒店不可接受！據安全部門告知，連管理階層也沒有告知！感謝其他嘉賓的掌聲，一位 12 歲的孩子和她的母親非常感激！我們在南非和國外的許多其他酒店都這樣做過 - 並且沒有抱怨！鋼琴上沒有任何標誌表明 - 禁止演奏！ ！ 浴缸也沒有打掃。

The hotel has friendly staff, some of whom were exceptional. Unfortunately there are shortcomings. There was a lack of resources for such a large group of guests. For example the breakfast egg station frequently had more than six people waiting to order. One of the things I noticed was a lack of cultural diversity in the staff given South Africa’s great variety of people. The rooms could use more light for makeup and plugs. Air conditioning did not work despite reporting this. The replacement of coffee supplies and bathroom products was spotty. For example. Sweetners were not replaced on 2/5 occasions. Toilet roll and bath products were not replaced either. The carpets were ragged at the bathroom. However you get the option of a bath or shower which was wonderful. For overseas guests note that the hotel does not provide razors or toothbrushes etc. Positioned perfectly the hotel is upmarket in price. The view from my room was amazing. The hotel could easily be up there with best. At present my rating has to be average due to price versus facilities and services. For entertainment. The bar prices are higher than average and the lounge area is lovely . A small outdoor area is available, but dominated by smokers. The conference rooms were lovely but quite large. An indoor pool(cold) and gym is available. Food quality is excellent. I think Southern Sun has to rank as one of my favorite’s to do training in due to the delightful staff attitude and good food.
