紫閣酒店(Purple House Accommodations)

Noi ed un'altra famiglia abbiamo trascorso in questa struttura 3 notti. La casa è organizzata su due piani, con soggiorno, cucina nuova e super attrezzata, 3 camere e due bagni. Le stanze sono ampie, curate nei dettagli e perfettamente tenute. La chicca è il roof top, bellissimo....noi lo abbiamo sfruttato poco avendo soggiornato in inverno, ma credo che in altre stagioni cenare con vista sulla città sia un'esperienza imperdibile. Non abbiamo avuto problemi di parcheggio in quanto ci viene rilasciato dai proprietari un permesso per parcheggiare nelle strade dell'isolato.

The location was perfect - easy access to all the best Cape Town has to offer. Henk and Guido were tremendous hosts, very responsive to requests fro advice on local attractions and services. The Waterkant apartment was very well equipped for the full range of self-catering when needed and there is a full supermarket steps away. Can’t wait to return! (PS - the roof top view of Table Mountain is remarkable).

Booked here to have a self catered experience (away from the formalities of hotel life) and am glad I did. Booking online was straightforward and communications with the host Henk was easy and his replies were soon after I sent the questions that I had. Check in was easy and after a lovely chat, Henk showed me my home for the next few days at the Waterkant house on the street level. It was decorated in old Cape Town style which I loved. Beautiful Oregon pine floors, a claw foot tub in the bathroom and everything one needed in the modern kitchen. The unit shares a common Laundry room with the two units above and below as well as the roof top plunge pool , BBQ and terrace which has an incredible view of the city and the lovely Table Mountain. WiFi worked extremely well and the AC units kept the place cool during the scorching hot weather we were having. A very nice welcome package with Milk, wine and bottled sparkling and still water in the fridge was a nice touch. Parking was pretty easy outside on the street for the entire time I was there and one receives a parking permit for the area to place in ones rental car. The house was comfortable, however the bed was extremely firm/ hard which I am not used to so sleep was not great. All in all a great stay and I would stay here again if visiting from the USA in future.

We two had a great one week stay in one of Purple House’s self catering apartments. Our apartment was the first floor apartment in the 106 Waterkant building. The space was exactly as shown in the online pictures- a separate bedroom with super comfortable bed and bath with great strong shower. An open living, dining and kitchen space. All comfortable and tastefully appointed. It was convenient to have a washer and dryer downstairs that is shared with the other two apts in the building. We also enjoyed the small roof deck (also shared) with a view of table mountain. The apt has its own balconies, but not with that view! 0ur landlords met us on arrival at the Purple House office and helped us with luggage around the corner to the apt. They were very responsive to all our questions/concerns. We loved staying in the De Waterkant neighborhood with its colorful houses, cobblestone streets, proximity to the waterfront, and neighborhood restaurants. And it was quiet! We walked to restaurants in the neighborhood and back and forth to the waterfront several times. Ubers were easy to get when going further afield. Cape Town is wonderful, lots to do and see. And this apt was perfect for our needs. Highly recommended!
