希洛酒店(The Silo Hotel)

We were looking forward to visit this iconic hotel now for some time. All we wanted was a light lunch. Our first negative experience was being interrogated by the concierge whether we had a reservation made at least 24-hrs before our visit. He rang up the bar/café and said we can proceed. Expecting a full bar / café only two tables were occupied. We placed our order and waited... and waited to finally get our food ... the French fries were previous day's and cold. The chicken burger with kimchi was superb. However our berf burgers were below average. The staff appreance was impeccable and the service very good. An overall disappointing visit.

Ich bewerte hier nur die Rooftop-Bar (und das zuvorkommende Personal) des Siloh Hotels, weil wir nicht im Siloh Hotel gewohnt haben. Um die Rooftop-Bar zu besuchen, ist dies auch nicht notwendig. Wir fragten höflich an der Rezeption, ob wir hinauffahren dürften und nach einer Anstandsminute zeigte man uns sehr freundlich den Weg. Oben angekommen, wurden wir wiederum von einer Angestellten freundlich begrüßt und unserer kleinen Gruppe ein Tisch auf der Sonnenseite angeboten. Die Rooftop-Bar war gut besucht, viele Speisen wurden serviert, die super-lecker aussahen. Wir hatten ein paar tolle Drinks und genossen die grandiose Aussicht über die Stadt. Danach nahm uns eine Angestellte noch mit ganz hinauf auf die Terrasse, die eigentlich nur für Hotelgäste gedacht ist. Dort durften wir dann auch Fotos machen, die nicht durch Geländer/Glasscheiben beeinträchtigt wurden. Noch ein lobendes Wort zum engagierten Hotelpersonal: Auf dem Weg nach unten wurden wir von Hotelangestellten angesprochen, ob jemand von uns ein Handy verloren habe. Und tatsächlich, es gehörte jemandem aus unserer Gruppe! Das Hotelpersonal hatte inzwischen die letzten Kontakte auf dem Handy angerufen und war damit in Deutschland gelandet. Danke dafür!

Yes this is a pricy hotel but the attention to detail, service and the rooms are amazing. The rooftop bar and pool are wonderful and breakfast is a real treat. The bar at night has such great reflections it’s hard to capture. I would visit again and go for the Royal Suite again ❤️

I have spent 40 years in the hospitality industry & visited hundreds of hotels for either work or pleasure, however I have never before experienced the rudeness of the lobby/reception staff at The Silo. This is all the more shocking as service in CT is otherwise so polite & friendly. Interesting to note, reading through some other reviews here, that l am not the first to encounter this issue. There has been buzz about this property since it opened, however the attitude of the lobby hosts is failing not only the hotel, but the whole city's tourism industry. So disappointing.

Its unique and surrounded by interesting places for tourists. At its roof top you can see the beauty of CT. Watch the sun set. Splush in the pool and find peace of mind. Each employee did his duties perfectly including helping with lagagges. Cleanliness.

Absolutely horrendous all around. The lobby is basic and run down, bathrooms are gross. The decor is tacky. The restaurant was on par with TGIFridays. - all the bread was stale - we requested GF bread for 1 guest, we asked 4 times for the bread, it came out with mains and was FROZEN!!!!! - the chicken/waffles is kids frozen chicken *****s or soggy, rubbery reheated frozen waffles - completely inedible - we noticed the waiter of a shellfish allergy for 1 guest multiple times. He came back to our table 3 times after we ordered to confirm this and the guests dish arrived with prawns! - the cauliflower appetizer, described as roasted cauliflower, pistachio, dates and one more ingredient arrived as a few pieces of thawed mushy cauliflower on top of a ton of lettuce with no dressing. Not edible - burger - not edible When they poured our wine, we were not offered a taste first- they just poured a FULL glass of wine on the first go. The staff (although very apologetic and kind) have absolutely no idea what they are doing and the food is they serve is all frozen items reheated. The spa is just a couple of treatment rooms, not a “spa” FYI I would avoid this place at all possible costs!!!!

The best of the best. Fabulous experience staying and dining at the Silo. Fantastic service and some of the best views in Cape Town. The unique windows help create an amazing atmosphere in the rooms. The service and food was excellent. Luis and Johandri - thank you for a special experience

From arrival you’ll be greeted by an enthusiastic staff determined to make you feel welcome and, almost, like a friend. I was traveling alone at Christmas and they went out of their way to make sure I was happy. The food was outstanding. Do the mini fish tacos at the bar! The room was chic and comfortable with a nice view of the harbor. The hotel sits in the safest part of Cap Town; the waterfront. The concierge and staff made sure my days were full and totally took care of all arraignments

Had a great time with my family especially because of the excellent service it's was my parents anniversary day so the chose Silo since my father have been there without us so he took us there amazing food very accommodating and great atmosphere I loved the view and the most delicious breakfast
