We had a lovely peaceful and rejuvenating weekend breakaway at Bergsicht. It was a real treat relaxing in the hot tub in the garden, watching the night sky and stars while listening to an owl hooting in a nearby tree. The cottage was clean and well stocked so we only needed to bring our food and drinks. Lovely indoor fireplace was used to warm the interior of the cottage. We also enjoyed a morning walk around the farm in the apple and pear orchards. All in all a lovely stay and highly recommended.

Located in the valley of Tulbach, surrounded by mountain views, bird chirping and late night hot tub soak with a masterpiece of stars to admire! What more could you ask for! The surrounding area was quiet and very relaxing. African Delight cottage was very clean and felt like home away from home. Equipped with everything you'll need in a self service setup. I would definitely recommend the cottages for a quick break away and to relax and enjoy life. There was a lot to do in the surrounding areas, from hiking, wine/beer tasting and visiting the local town with its rich history. We definitely need to return to continue the adventure in Tulbach. Thank you to Bergsicht team for the wonderful stay and for keeping things clean.

A serene escape with beautiful views. Fully equipped with everything you might need, just bring your food & drinking water. Huge comfy bed, and spacious bathroom with a beautiful bathtub with a view. The farm eggs and butter left in the fridge were an unexpected, thoughtful touch. Will be back :)

We stayed in the African Delight cottage. Great views, great setting; the cabin has everything you need to have a comfortable, cosy stay. The architecture and furniture created a nostalgic experience for us 50yr olds, bringing up memories of our great&grandparents’ homes in the 70’s. The only recommendation is for there to be a light at the jacuzzi area! In addition an earlier check in at 1pm and a later checkout for 11am.

We loved our stay it was perfect , I would not change a thing about it it was perfect . I look forward to returning back

Our stay at Bergsicht Country Cottages was nothing short of amazing. A home away from home with all the basic essentials we needed. It was also very relaxing and tranquil. Was an unforgettable stay and I would highly recommend!!!

We had the most amazing stay! 🥰 The cottage was absolutely beautiful, cosy, and surrounded by breathtaking mountains. The area felt incredibly safe, and we loved how peaceful and private everything was. The hot tub was definitely a highlight — the perfect way to relax and unwind while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. ♨️✨ The only small issue we had was that the bed was quite hard for our liking. Perhaps a mattress topper could be considered, but honestly, this was only a minor issue and certainly didn’t take away from our wonderful stay. We absolutely loved our time here and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful and romantic getaway.

We stayed at the Outpost for a total of 5 nights. The check in was seamless, the Unit was more than we expected, it was well laid out and luxurious. The Vista's from the deck where breathtaking and the fireplace was well used although the weather was nice and sunny during the day. There is a lot to do in the area and Tulbagh itself a quick trip away. We enjoyed walks on the farm and coffee on the deck admiring the scenery. As a couples destination I would highly recommend it.

The cottage is so beautifully laid out and has everything that one needs! The hot tub is amazing. They have your braai place all set up for when you arrive. Very easy and well organised arrival. Will definitely go back!

My husband and I had two night stay in the 'Southern Belle' cottage at Bergsicht. We had an amazing time, especially in winter as we could make proper use of the hot tub and fireplace. It was a very comfortable and cozy stay. Our cottage was the last one on the property, and very private. Bergsicht is one of the most well-run places we've stayed in! Some highlights: all access/check-in/check-out processes were remote and well-organized. Fire places were pre-set with wood and there was additional wood to easily buy on-site. There was daily cleaning of fireplaces, braais, etc. The furnishing of the cottage was nothing over-the-top, but just good quality and exactly what you need for a self-catering stay. We were really impressed. The only two suggestions I have are: 1) That it would be great to have a detailed map of the farm on the booking site so that guests can see the layout of the different cottages. We got lucky with our cottage being the last in the row, for additional privacy. 2) We were gifted the Reader's Picnic, which was a lovely surprise. It is simply a matter of taste, but we both agreed that the picnic would have been more suitable if it were made up of shelf-stable goods like nuts, biltong, dried fruit, maybe a bottle of wine, instead of fresh, ready-made food. We weren't expecting it, so we just had a lot of additional food that we had to store and eat. Overall though, we had an amazing time and would love to stay again. This was a gorgeous and completely restful break from city life. The cottage was spacious, beautifully designed and well-appointed with everything one might need. We will certainly return!
