This is an absolute gem of an agritourism and farm stay experience with 6 star service and food. The short drive from Cape Town was beautiful through the winelands and farms, and the old homestead is beautifully decorated and the suite is outstanding. The gardens are spectacular with views of the mountains beyond. The food and drinks are outstanding, both dinner and brunch were delicious with an incredible selection. The drive through the private nature reserve was a highlight and we could have kept going for hours. Big thank you to Esmeralda who was such a great host and knowledgeable guide.

What a magical place for any occasion! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and your wonderful staff and dinner was superb! Thank you for making time for the younger clan showing them your important conservation of the tortoises they loved it! We will be back, our stay this time was too short!

We had avery enjoyable 2 night stay at BK. The house is very comfortable with excellent food and very friendly staff. The morning and evening drives in the nature reserve were very enjoyable and informative. Look forward to returning one day

An amazing place. Beautiful grounds, wonderful hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble. If you want peace and quiet and to be looked after royally, this is the place to go. The daily game drives were instructive and interesting. You're not going to see the big five, but you will see a variety of antelope, zebra, ostrich and birds of all types. The main project is the protection and nurturing of the endangered geometric tortoises. It was wonderful to see how these creatures are being reared in specially protected areas and then released into the wild. Mariska, the guide, clearly loves her work with them. She is inspirational. And we were lucky enough to see three babies in the wild too. There are beautiful gardens for a short walk and a dam for water activities. The huge pool is fantastic. The staff are friendly, extremely helpful and couldn't do enough to make our stay as good as it could be. The food was also plentiful, and very tasty. Can't recommend highly enough. Brilliant.

This is a truly authentic African experience - if you want something unique this is the place to visit. Our house was beautifull with great facilities - great for families - excellent character with an old world feel. Staff are very kind, helpful and friendly, we loved our time here and thanks to all the great staff !

Yet again Bartholomeus Klip delivered a superb experience, from the brilliant food, quality service, excellent accommodation and in depth & informative drives in the reserve, it never fails to provide a superb & relaxing time. Lesley & Louise are integral to the Farmhouse, & along with the brilliant staff, the experience is second to none.

Out third time at BK and the first for some friends from Australia. Like us, they were knocked out by the quality of the accommodation, food, service and general environment.

We were recommended to try this establishment and were enthralled by what we found , beauty abounds from the scenery as we drove in , to the superb accommodation and to top it all THE FOOD WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD !!!!

We enjoyed two excellent nights at BK. Warm hospitality. Excellent dinner. Chef take great care with food preferences Room was immaculate Safari drive was great fun. Great sighting of eland and rare zebra species. Highly recommended Zzz

Spent the most perfect three days at Bartholomeus Klip and everything was extraordinary! Their game-drives make you love their land, their home-made cooking show the love they put in every single plate and the kindest treatment made us feel at home! Thank you, thank you.

We absolutely loved meeting all the people at BK Farmhouse. The farmhouse is run exclusively by a group of ladies from the farm. Lesley, Mariska and all the lovely ladies went out of their way to make our stay very special as it was our wedding anniversary. Unfortunately we did arrive to lots of wind on the afternoon of the first day which was just bad timing for us. However we had the most delicious supper that evening and such an interesting game drive the next day followed by an amazing brunch before checking out. Much of what we ate is from the farm. What is great is that the check out is at 12pm which gave us time to enjoy the farm on a still, beautiful day. We loved hearing about all the history of the farm which was super interesting. Hope to be back some day to enjoy a Sunday lunch out at the deck. Thanks for a very special and memorable time ladies.

From the warm greeting when we arrived, to high tea, to the game drive (where we saw tons of animals and the guide was excellent), the wonderful private room, the grounds - it was all perfect. The 4 course dinner was just right: timing, portions and everything was fantastic. Same thing with breakfast, which was relaxing, delicious and a perfect way to start another day in the paradise of the Klip. Five stars!

Just stay here!!!! When we drove up the very long dusty drive I thought what the heck! Why have my lovely friends suggested this place in the middle of nowhere? We were then shown to our two bed cottage with a pool and the magic began. Peace and tranquility. The stars were like someone had splattered a paintbrush in the sky....quite stunning. The accommodation was homely, clean and with all the necessary equipment and accessories required. The bed, bedding and pillows perfect. The home cooked breakfast was outstanding with a wonderful array of home cooked items that I have never encountered before. The early morning game drive was just beautiful, encountering Fish Eagles, Springbok along with the tortoise compound. Wish we would have done the evening drive. Will def do this next time. Now for the evening meal. No choices, no pontificating which option one might have. A four course meal presented beautifully and was absolutely sublime. Finally the staff. They were all so friendly, professional and just wonderful. Will definitely return. Thank you to all fir making pur stay memorable.

We knew we were on to something when we discovered all the other guests had stayed several times before. Beautiful location, morning and evening game drives and all run by a team who could not have been more helpful and attentive. Plus the food is fantastic from the afternoon high tea to the four course evening meal.
