From the moment we arrived until we departed Jacquie was committed to making our stay comfortable and exceeded all expectations. Our room was absolutely gorgeous, clean and beautifully decorated with a fabulous jacuzzi bath. Jacquie gave me a tour of the hotel the next morning and all the rooms were stunning, impeccably designed, spacious, and equipped with all the necessary amenities and much more…some of the rooms had infrared saunas!! Small touches, like fluffy dressing gowns, slippers and fresh flowers with our delicious breakfast, served in our room, made our stay extra special. Quirky and wonderful! Jacquie is clearly dedicated to ensuring guest satisfaction and we will definitely be back!!❤️

This beautiful B and B surpassed all expectations. Gorgeous funky modern decor, luxurious bathroom and our own kitchen and living area were an unexpected upgrade. Scrupulously clean and comfortable throughout with top notch breakfast choices - well cooked, hot, using locally sourced ingredients and delivered to our room - Nigel’s kimchi special is inspired. Superb attention to detail with a warm and knowledgeable host in Jackie - nothing was too much trouble. Seriously impressive. A perfect base for a walk along the promenade or through the lovely town (we visited thyme out and the chocolate shop) and for a trip to Cartmel.

Wonderful room and suite. Amazing breakfast. Would stay again in a heartbeat 💓 🎉 Great location. Lovely quiet stay. Super comfy bed and a bubble bath! What more could you want from a stay. Would highly recommend. Jackie and Nigel are fantastic hosts xx We will be back x

Everything about our stay was perfect. The hotel was great and nicely decorated. The host Jackie is so lovely; very we welcoming and helpful; couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfast was delicious. Good parking, good location etc I wouldn’t hesitate to go back :)

Terrible night stay!!! I couldn’t sleep due to the smell of the fabric conditioner used on the bed linen and I couldn’t get warm due to the sheets the owners used - they should look into polyester. Host rude and stuck up themselves, when I tried to discuss my issues they were too busy playing games to care. Based on these issues I felt it was only right to under pay.

AVOID AVOID AVOID, horrible hosts, room dirty and had a really bad smell. Pillows and duvet smelt of pee!! Poo still in toilet. Due to cleanliness issue we avoided breakfast. When I complained they were really rude.

Dirty room, dust in places and poo on the toilet. Hosts arrogant and rude! A very dissatisfying stay and totally unacceptable service. Very uncomfortable bed and the quilt was worn. I can’t understand how they have the cheek to charge that amount. The breakfast was ok but not at the standard you’d expect.

Fabulous place with a wonderful host (Jackie). We were offered an upgrade to a suite which we kindly accepted for a small fee. Had a beautiful large suite with views over the estuary. Super comfy bed and great spa bath. Wonderful breakfast served in the suite which was a nice touch. Building has been restored with an eclectic feel which goes really well with the style of property. Jackie was really helpful and informative and a perfect host. Ample off street parking and a few minutes walk gets you into the centre and to the promenade. Had dinner at the estuary bistro which was excellent also. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and it’s only 5 mins (£8) taxi fare to Cartmel.

My Husband and I stayed here between Christmas and New Year. We just wanted a relaxing night away in between all the madness of the festive season. We stayed in the butterfly suite which was lovely, every detail has been thought out, which I believe justifies the room rate. Jackie was very informative and shown us how everything worked and gave restaurant recommendations. Communication was easy and breakfast orders/ queries were all done via text message. The location is great for a long walk or just a stroll into the village, we had a lovely late lunch at The Estuary Bistro- highly recommend. There is also a tesco express next door to the hotel for anything you may want/ need to take back to your room. Breakfast was lovely, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return.
