奧伊塔沃斯酒店(The Oitavos)

Perfecto!

Wir sind nun zum wiederholten Mal in diesem Hotel. Es ist außergewöhnlich was die Lage in den Dünen und dem Golfplatz betrifft und auch die Architektur ist besonders. Das kühle Blau, das viele Glas, die Offenheit sind nicht jedermanns Sache, aber ich finde es genial, wie die Grundidee von Großzügigkeit durchgezogen ist. Die Zimmer sind soooo groß und sauber, obwohl die Duschen wirklich schon ein leichtes Grün im Silikon aufweisen, aber das ist das einzige, was es zu bemängeln gibt. Auch wir sind vom Frühstück begeistert! Die Mitarbeiter bemühen sich alle, danke!

Ho soggiornato solo una notte in questo hotel, in un viaggio di lavoro, e non posso che elogiarne le qualità. La mia stanza (la 230, al secondo piano) era enorme, luminosa, dotata di tutti i confort che ci si aspetta da un albergo di questo livello. Ottimo il personale di servizio, ampi e gradevoli gli spazi comuni, notevole la cura nei dettagli. La vista sul mare, dalla mia camera, non era eccezionale, trovandosi la struttura un po' all'interno rispetto alla linea di costa, ma il terrazzo comunque risultava gradevole. Ineccepibile la colazione, anche se forse a questi livelli si potrebbero evitare le macchinette per le bevande calde e preferire il servizio al tavolo. Ho anche apprezzato il ristorante, dove, a cena, ho assaggiato piatti notevoli come la crema di zucca con capesante, il magret di canard con ragù di funghi e gratin di patate e il tortino di lychees. Un hotel di ottimo livello, con prezzi adeguati.

Caracterizo este hotel como aquilo que se pode chamar um “Luxo Jovem”! Localizado na quinta da marinha, os quartos possuem uma decoração com charme, requinte e qualidade. Todos eles tê vista para o mar, isto pois ficamos mais que uma noite, e, em todos as vistas eram incríveis. Mas o melhor de tudo, para mim era o pequeno-almoço, que tinha uns ovos benedict, simplesmente divinais! De salientar que na última noite que ficamos no hotel, existia muito pó e a limpeza não foi feita com o total rigor que um hotel 5***** exige. Ficamos bastante desolados e não voltamos mais. Podem ver nas fotos anexadas tudo aquilo que aqui referi.

The staff was super nice extremely friendly and highly accommodating. The hotel itself wasn’t a 5 star hotel at least as ranked alongside a North American standard or even France or England. At a 5star attention to detail is what is measured because the basics are covered otherwise they would be a 3 or 4 star. During every breakfast they ran out of coffee at the coffee station, normally not a big deal but then it would take 10-15 min to bring a new coffee pot. The self serve espresso machine was only half functional, the bread oven was not working a couple days, bowls for the cereal bar where scarce running out multiple times leaving people searching around thinking they just couldn’t see them when in fact they had just run out 10min ago and nobody replaced them. I’m using the breakfast example to exemplify my total experience across multiple interactions. I happened to be there during a very windy and rainy few days. Again, staff was very friendly but the physical property to me, the entire hotel including my room felt very sterile.

amazing hotel with wonderful architecture, widest hallways i have ver soon (aka quiet) incredible rooms (the blue will always be remembered) and views. Wonderful staff like Daniel the valet, beatriz, etc. excellent breakfast with many options!

It was our 3rd stay in The Oitavos and, as usual, we were very satisfied. The hotel has a very special style and we can understand, that not everyone like it but if you like it, you take it and if you don’t like it, you leave it. Each comment on Trip Advisor reflect the subjective opinion of the guest. Negative comments are OK, as long as they are fair. This is not always the case. We feel obliged to give our own opinion in order to relativize some notes we find unfair. Sofie Hildebrandt July 2022: “After having stayed at this hotel every summer for 20 years”, This is not true, because the hotel opened in 2010. Further “the greens are in desperate need of maintenance” maybe in July 2022 but in August 2023 the greens were in a very good stay and very fast. Craig S, July 2023: " On arrival no one arrived to greet us. We waited for a porter with our bags in the parking area and had to summon attention when the staff were not attending to any guests”. Maybe a special situation; our experience: A porter came immediately on arrival, took our suitcases and golf bags and brought them directly to our room. The lady at the reception was very friendly. SS, July 2023: The all comment is totally unfair. Just an example “the room has strange tvs placed literally like a heartbeat monitor screen in an ER room (not a joke, it’s just truly that odd)”. The TV he mentioned is the small TV near the bed. The room has a bigger screen and “balconies do not face the sea”. Each hotel has different categories of rooms. Our room faced the sea and the view was superb.

É um hotel que frequento habitualmente. Todavia o serviço de restaurante, seja onde for (ypilon, verbasco, piscina) é sofrível. Desconhecem a diferença entre um serviço sereno e ineficaz! Insistem em ter o mesmo pequeno copo tanto para um vinho directo como para um grande vinho! Pasme-se os copos de água têm uma superfície de oxigenação maior do que a dos copos que são “pau para toda a colher”. Entretanto não estão atentos às necessidades do cliente. Acabei um vinho queria outro e ninguém reparou. Pedi um outro prato e estive cerca de 45 minutos à espera que me trouxessem outro vinho. A rever o serviço de copos e de serviço à mesa.

Nous avons pu bénéficier de la Table du Chef...un moment inoubliable autour d'une cuisine de très grande qualité mêlant les spécialités portugaises au savoir faire français. Un très grand moment, cela se passait le 31 juillet de cette année. Tout est orchestré par Cyril Devilliers, un chef exécutif français qui réussit avec talent, passion et envie à concocter une excellent cuisine...c'est une table qui mérite le détour...les guides gastronomiques doivent s'y rendre je pense, car l'endroit est davantage connu pour son hôtel et son golf.
