This is a beautiful place, in a little village I. The Wiltshire countryside. Not suitable for disabled guests as the rooms are up outdoor stairs. The room is small but functional and comfortable, shower was good. There are only 6 rooms (I think) and it was very quiet when we were there for 2 nights. The pub is lovely and the staff really friendly a s helpful. The food was lovely and the breakfast was a great start to the day. Highly recommend this quaint place.

Comfortable room and bathroom. We arrived early and our room was ready before check in. Food was wonderful. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and it was exquisite. Amy who worked there was absolutely lovely! The location is perfect to visit the different Cotswold villages. Great place to stay!!!

Superb lunch menu, well cooked and such a choice. The ox cheek with horseradish mad was great just right on a cold wet day.My husband enjoyed his celeriac steak which had a perfect smoky flavour. Staff were very friendly and helpful.Only downside although they had a fire we were both cold but it was a miserable day.Also we both found the coffee too milky and not a good flavour.But value for money it was excellent.

Great find! Stayed here for a gig at local arboretum. Breakfast was soooo good! Try the eggs royal or pancake stack with maple syrup ! Went as a family. Very welcoming team , very clean accommodation. Much better than your average chain hotel!

My husband and I, and our two teenage boys spent two nights at the Old House at Home, and had a lovely time. We had two rooms, with breakfast, and also one dinner there. The rooms were great, everything you might need, with an absolutely glorious bathroom and spa-quality shower. (The beds were too soft for my liking, and you could hear some traffic, so I would invest in double glazing, but other than that -- perfect.) Breakfasts were lovely, and the dinner was spectacular - far better than in Castle Combe. Definitely also book dinner! The service was just right - not intrusive, yet always present if you needed them, with a family feel. Just really lovely people that make you feel welcome. Couldn't fault them. I had originally booked this place as I couldn't get a spot at Castle Combe, but now I would re-book on purpose. It's a 5 minute drive, and fabulous, with lovely service, amazing bathrooms (!) and sensational food.

This was not what I expected - the rooms are really good and the walk in shower the best I have stayed in ! I thought they would be in the main building but they are out the back, and it is so much quieter there than it would have been above the bar/restaurant . Food awesome and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are a bit of a "climb" up stone steps though, so not great for my mum who walks with a stick..but once up there... it was grand. Also - the floor is very hard. I broke my phone when it fell.. but it looks great :) phone not so much .... :)

Only stayed for one night arrived at 3.15 in room by 3.20 Lovely room bright and very clean Hadd s meal in the pub and it was excellent and the young woman whovwas running bar and serving meals was very friendly and helpful An excellebt stay and close to castle ccombe

The whole place was clean, tidy and well thought through. All for the benefit of the visitors to the establishment. The staff were friendly, obligingly helpful. I felt I was the most important person there. A big well done to Amy and the team.

Second time staying at Burton and this stay was equally as pleasant .. Accomodation was clean , tidy and well serviced on a daily basis by the staff ... Choice for breakfast was comprehensive and more than enough choice to start the day .. The staff , Libby , Mike and all else were courteous and friendly which all added to a comfortable 3 days .. Many thanks to them all ..
