Before the actual review, two important things to consider: -This hotel (and all of the ones in this area really) likely have a bunch of fabricated reviews. Please have a long look and discern the likely fake ones from the real for an honest score and opinion -You can’t trust the pictures. Ever. Not in this area. Don’t be fooled (like me) I stayed in the Saina as well as the Cabana (hotel across the street, same owner who apparently has several hotels in this street). I was expecting a 4 star hotel but got a 1 star western standard at best. I wanted to cancel my reservation and leave but the guy at the reception made me change rooms three times till I found one I liked (I did not but I gave in - stupid me). He tried being helpful though and was nice, I felt sorry for him as he seems to be constantly working no matter the time of the day, I wonder if he has any time off at all. In any case, do know what you are getting yourself into before booking. If you expect anything above a bad 3 star hotel in the west book a name-brand or a 5 star. No inbetween in delhi it seems. Positive points: -Bottled of water in the rooms -Shampoo and basic amenities provided -Location? Not sure why anyone would want to stay in that neighborhood but seems to be a positive point Negative points (take with a grain of salt as I was expecting the hotel in the pictures, you now know this won’t be the case so you can adjust expectations): -Bedding smelled clean but was visibly soiled in all colors and textures imaginable -Warm water only by prior request to reception and 30 degrees at best -Zero noise isolation. I’m talking zero. You could hear the honking, shouting and music from the third floor inside room. It seemed as if they were honking inside your very room (and this was with earplugs) -Rooms are supposed to be non-smoking but people clearly smoke in them, mine reeked so bad I had to change rooms and wanted to cancel my reservation altogether. They use a strong perfume they call “air freshner” to mask it but it is worse. -There was AC, just No AC remote in any of the three rooms -the walls have mold, holes, humidity and stains. -The area is quite sketchy at night (not hotel-specific)

Great stay the guys really looked after us very well. Food was good. The area a little busy but great hotel stay over all. Liked the roof top terrace for dining. Would stay again. They organised SIM cards for us and nothing was a problem. So recommend this hotel.

The Saina is a great place to stay if one wants to know the "real" Delhi. Located in a popular neighbourhood, the team goes beyond duty to make the guest feel comfortable and to deliver a good service. We used Saina as our base during a long trip India/Buthan and they kept our luggage for us, served meals at almost any hour, helped with taxis, money exchange, etc. Always with a smile and a "yes, of course" in their faces. Very much recommended.

This hotel looked slightly better from the pictures. We got a room without windows so it was humid and we needed to sleep with the air con on just to have some air. The toilet and the shower had no separation so the bathroom was flooded every time we took a shower. No breakfast available. The asked us to pay the check out on cash only.
