The hotel has an adorable maroccan style and is located in a very safe area of Centurion. The staff was adorable and so helpful to explain and giving direction. Was lovely that once I’ve back in the room after dinner they prepared my bed for bedtime, opened the heater and left me the dental kit a long with a nice small chocolate block. Breakfast as well was very delicious and served at Zagora restaurant which has very chilled vibes. No idea if I will be back soon in South Africa but if I will do, I will choose once again to stay with them.

Everything was smooth and easy. Check in process was great. Very warm and welcoming. Rooms had more than expected. Very comfortable bed. The best part about the room is massive shower. All round, great hotel

This hotel is really a beautiful place, the beds are comfortable, rooms are very clean and the Moroccan decor is a feast for the eyes, cleanliness and services are absolutely excellent. The restaurant serves excelent food, very happy with our stay there

I had requested early check in which was confirmed online. When I got there staff were unaware of my request. Next they gave me a room which was like a furnace. Staff insisted aircons were just maintained so the room would cool down soon. 20 mins later (and now late for my lunch invite) the room was still hot. Went to lady at reception who said she will go personally and check it out and if Aircon was not working, she would change my room. I went out for lunch and returned around 4. Nothing had changed. I complained again. Once again someone from reception came up and eventually agreed to change my room. 1st impressions were not good and this set the tone for me for the disappointing weekend

Beautiful place, warm friendly welcoming from reception, had lunch at the hotel, Service from the wait staff was average could hear them having casual at entrance, didn't look like any manager was present. Will definitely be back for the food , the Chef came past for brief a conversation and to see if we are enjoying our meal.

Not what I expected. Difficult to get room service, tv channels very limited and even then the one movie channel gave constant error, fridge not making cold. Unfortunately just not what I thought the standard would be

When we arrived to check-in the lady at the counter couldn't access our booking which I had made on *********** and she made it seem as if this was our fault which was a bit frustrating. We had to wait quite a while until she was able to access it to confirm that I had already paid for the booking. The hotel itself was beautiful. The carpets in the bedrooms should be removed or updated as they are old and stained and spoils an otherwise lovely room! The biggest issue we faced was that the generator stopped working during our stay...mind you this was during a heatwave and the situation was handled poorly by staff. We had to go to our rooms early because staff was closing down the bar and outside area when loadshedding kicked in. They had no emergency lights at all to give to guests to use in the rooms which besides being unacceptable is also a safety risk. What if someone gets hurt or injured on your property in the dark? The staff had no response to anything except to say that they could not help us with anything and could not even look us in the eye. My parents who are in the 70s had to make their way up the stairs and be in their rooms with no lights available at all. The hotel is dark in general and with no lights on at all was not a pleasant experience. How were people supposed to use the bathroom as well in the dark? Staff should have also atleast made sure people had enough water as there was a heatwave with no aircons. Extremely disappointed that we paid to stay at this hotel and did not receive the general facilities we should have had and the attitude from the staff was unacceptable. Very disappointing to have paid so much for this experience

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay at the Royal Elephant Hotel. We were welcomed by the most friendly and professional staff. The book in and out was eventless and took about 5 min. I will definitely recommend this Hotel and I will again use them when I am in Centurion again.
