Lovely hotel in the city center. We weren't expecting much as the price is low compared to other hotel in chamonix, but everything was perfect. The room is clean and confortable, with balcony and view on the mountain, we had free access to sauna. Thanks to the location and the free parking, you Can just leave your car and use mecanic devices and bus. We would like to thank all the staff who were adorable and helpfull. Be sure we'll either come back or advise someone to go in that hotel.
We loved our 4 night stay at the Alpina Eclectic Hotel & Spa. Upon check in, we were upgraded to a balcony room on the 6th floor. Our room was good sized with modern decor and plenty of storage. Comfy bed with soft pillows, slept like a log. There is an area for clothes and cases tucked away behind the main bedroom to keep the room tidy. Separate toilet and bathroom was a bit odd as you have to go into another room to wash your hands but it was fine and we got used to it! Bathroom comes equipped with hairdryer, hand wash, shampoo and shower gel, very nice scent. Reception are happy to provide more toiletries if needed. We used the nespresso coffee machine each morning and the housekeeping staff kept the pods replenished throughout our stay. We really enjoyed the complementary one hour spa session per day. Robes and slippers are provided in the room. The heated ski room was fantastic too. There is a cafe onsite to grab some lunch/drinks and a bon bon sweetie bar in reception to help yourself to a treat on the way in/out of the hotel. The hotel is in a great location with ski bus stops just outside and lots of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. Ski hire shop onsite as well. Staff are friendly and willing to help with any questions or recommendations. We would not hesitate to stay in the Alpina next time we are in Chamonix.
We loved that this was so close to the town center, shops and restaurants. The mountain views from the spa terrace were spectacular. The photos of the spa make it look like there is a lap pool. There is a warm tub (not a hot tub) in a solarium with bubbles (not jets) and the pool is meant to cool you off. It's not for swimming. Things that were not great: 1) The carpet in the stairwells was a mess; torn and worn. 2) The hotel does not have air conditioning; it was hot in our room despite the fan they gave us. 3) Breakfast was not that great for 20 euros. 4) There are no ice machines 5) If you are on the street side, there is lots of street noise.
The customer service is excellent. All of the staff were very helpful. We have a baby and they made sure we had an onsite parking spot, early check in, late check out, and freshly warmed milk. They were very accommodating. The hotel is clean and the views from our room were excellent. In this town, the views are excellent from everywhere. The hotel is near the lift to the highest peak, I think. However we couldn’t do that lift since our baby was too young. If you’re into outdoor activities ( e.g. hiking, parasailing, world class scenery, rafting, etc.) then I highly recommend staying at this hotel for up to a week to explore what this town has to offer.
We stayed here for a couple of nights in January. We took the Flixbus from Geneva and arrived into Chamonix around 11:30pm hoping to find a taxi to take us to the hotel. We soon discovered that taxis are pretty non-existent in Chamonix, but were able to take a night bus which dropped us off not too far from the hotel. We arrived at the hotel and despite the late hour were checked in very quickly. We were very impressed with our room- it had very much a 1970s vibe to it, and was a good size with a very comfortable bed, good wi-fi and lots of of storage space. There is a separate toilet and bathroom and both were well maintained. The room overlooked the main road into Chamonix but traffic never disturbed us during our stay. Beyond the road are stunning views of the Alps which were amazing to see on our first morning. There is a large reception area with lots of comfortable seating and a lovely fireplace. It also includes a large flat screen TV showing various sports, a pool table, foosball and a number of arcade games. Together with the young and enthusiastic staff means that unlike many hotels there was always a buzz in the reception area. The hotel has an indoor pool which we made use of during our stay. It is quite small but it was good to relax in after a day of walking. One thing to be aware of though is that the bottom of the pool is curved so if you jump too quickly in you might land sooner than you think and injure yourself. We were on a room-only rate at the hotel and on the first day of our stay went out for breakfast in Chamonix itself. On the second day we paid for breakfast in the hotel (16 Euros each) and were very impressed with the choice and quality of what was offered. The hotel is located around 3 kilometres outside the centre of Chamonix and ideally you would need a car to get round the local area. We didn’t on this occasion and made use of the local bus and train service- there a couple of buses in the morning that depart from outside the hotel, and during the rest of the day you need to walk about 10 minutes to pick up the bus from les Tissieres. Journey time into Chamonix is 15 minutes. The nearest train station is Les Bossons which is about 20 minutes walk away. We enjoyed our short stay at Big Sky and would recommend it when visiting Chamonix.
We stayed at this hotel the night before our TMB hike began and again the night that we completed the hike. Both stays were wonderful. One night, our room faced the street and on a Saturday night was slightly noisy, but still very nice. Another night we stayed on the river side and it was much more peaceful. The breakfast spread is incredible. So many options (meats/cheeses, coffeecake and breads, yogurt and cereals, fruit, eggs made to order, and additional hot items (eggs and bacon). The concierge /front desk was extremely helpful securing dinner reservations - one with advance notice and one with no notice - and activity recommendations. All around a great hotel!!
I booked this charming chalet boutique hotel through my bank as they have a cashback offer on hotel stays and this was one of the hotels in Chamonix that had availability, was open during summer and had parking onsite. We went their with my friends last August to escape the provençal heat and we booked a Family room. Normally the family room is for 2 adults and 2 kids so we called them up to confirm if it is ok to room 4 adults. We had to call twice as they had customers checking out but the lady who assisted us was very nice and helpful and told us that it was not a problem. I am not sure if this is just because it was summer and normally a low season for them or if this is their actually policy, so double check first with them. As indicated on the other tripadvisor reviews, this hotel is located beside the greens of the Chamonix golf club and is on the outskirts of Chamonix so you would either need a car or take public transport. This was not an issue for us as we came with our car and we preferred not to be right in the center where parking could be expensive and difficult. Upon arriving, the public parking outside the hotel was full so we asked the receptionnist to give us access to their private paid parking. Good thing that there were still some spots left as it was not a huge parking and could probably just fit less than 10 cars so I suggest that you try to book it in advance before your stay, especially if you are going there during the peak season. The lobby and reception area had a warm ambiance and exuded a homey charm. The receptionnist was very friendly and patient, very helpful and had a smile on her face. She handed our keys eventhough we arrived a little early and told us about the spa and gave us information on how to get to the center by public transport which we really appreciated. The family room was located on the ground level and was spacious enough for a short stay. It was clean, functional, well maintained eventhough you can smell a bit of humidity in the air and had a spacious balcony overlooking the golf course. The room also had a spectacular view of Month Blanc. Unfortunately, the room had no airconditioning, but since we are near the mont blanc, it wasn't that warm especially if you opened the windows. Also, since the hotel is not near the center, it was peaceful and there was not much noise when you do open the windows. The room had all the amenities of a 3 star property and the beds and pillows were ok and were comfortable enough for a short stay. After leaving our luggages, we went out to go to the center of chamonix to catch the Montenvers train which led to the Mer de glace, the longest and largest valley glacier in France. We decided to leave the car and took a bus instead as the bus stop was around 5-8 minutes walk away from the hotel. Since we got back to the hotel late, unfortunately we were not able to enjoy the jacuzzi as it was already closed after dinner so we just went straight to our rooms and slep
It is our 1st time to be in this part of the world, I must say big thank to my family to select this one place. Also, if you are so lucky and get breakfast served by Mrs. Sharon Fleury where you feel like home lovely breakfast. every day my family run to her with nice greeting and big smile. For sure I would like to go back here. Thanks for all the team.

Staff were always super friendly and very helpful. Even gave advice on ski resorts. Food wonderful also. Location brilliant. Super clean. Very comfortable. I actually don’t think I’ve stayed at a hotel were I can honestly say everything was perfect… EVER! Truely a brilliant hotel. Highly highly recommended. Will definitely be back.
訪訪客Friendly staff, functional rooms and a really nice vibe. If you want to be in a place surrounded by skiers and boarders who really know their stuff then this is the place. Super easy access by bus to Les Houches, Grand Montets and Brévent. I’ll certainly be back.
