夏洛特希爾頓花園酒店(Hilton Garden Inn Charlotte-Uptown)

My boyfriend and I wanted to a staycation so we booked here. My entry our key didn’t work so we went back downstairs with our bags. There was trash on the floor. The shower had hair in it and the trash wasn’t emptied. I’m usually the one to complain but my boyfriend just wanted to enjoy our night. Front desk service was great; I wish I remembered her name but she was very kind and considerate. But the room was a little disappointing for the money.

The pillows were very tiny, not the size of even a standard pillow. It was very noisy, could here every car driving by throughout the night. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly.

It was a literal construction site due to renovations. Half the plugs and lights were missing/didn’t work in the room, no functioning microwave or coffee maker as advertised (which derailed my meal plans for the stay), the construction crew was overall rude, and my car was hit while parked by a truck that appeared to be part of the construction crew (giant Chevy with a tool bag in the back that happened to park on the same floor as the in-progress renovations Monday morning). I tried to find out who owned it but no one was able to assist me. There was no direct elevator to my parking space either, which resulted in having to take the hotel elevator down, then taking the parking garage elevator up, which was extremely hot and tiring. I would have paid more to stay at any other hotel in the area. The staff was nice but they were helpless to assist with these factors. I expected more for the price I paid.

The hotel was under construction. The hotel staff's attitudes matched the environment. I was given the key to someone else's room. Staff members took a long while to hsndle the situation. They were very nonchalant about the situation. Had the other guest had not have persistently called, I'm not sure if I would have had a room.

when I arrived, I was told the hotel was under construction. Which normally would be fine. Except I had a jackhammer literally over my head beginning at 8 AM each day. I was there on business and couldn’t even tolerate taking a shower and washing my hair with the amount of noise going on in my room, let alone trying to have a business call or work on my computer. I went out for a walk on the second day in the morning to be met by 2 vagrants loitering around the parking garage. The doors were locked, which did made me feel a little more secure, but nonetheless it was not a safe area to be walking by myself. The staff was incredibly friendly. From the engineers in the elevator to the front desk staff. The staff is always very warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, this was the worst day I have ever had at a Hilton. They should not have put me in a room directly underneath where the pool was being jackhammered.

This was a poorly ran hotel. Non working mini fridge, fan in bathroom broke, half of our light bulbs out… 3 day 2 night and room was never turned over

I liked that it was located in the heart of uptown, but I don't have any additional positive comments. For the price I paid for the suite here, I could have stayed at a 4 star resort. But here the front-desk staff was unfriendly, all i could see from my room was an industrial AC unit, the hot tub was dirty, the bed was squeaky, and the nightstand by the bed was barely hanging on to the wall. My stay was VERY disappointing!
