Service, facilities and food were all excellent. Thoroughly recommend and will not hesitate to return!

I visited the Cross Keys hotel with my daughter. The decour was incredible the old mixed with the modern in a very unique and sympathetic way. A roaring fire was burning in the front room with the bar. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and accomodating. The beds in the rooms were spacious and very comfortable. We both had a great couple of nights sleep as well as a needed sense of peace in our quirky and fascinating rooms. (12 blue 13 yellow.). We will return

Been here many times, love the ambiance of this beautiful pub. The staff may have had some shortages whilst we were there, but they managed wonderfully. David & Rebecca were away on this visit but we were looked after as always. Our go to place when we visit family in the area. Thank you to all the staff and hope to see you all soon. Went for lunch,toasties full to bursting, chips the best ever soft inside crunchy outside,partner loved his pint of Doombar as well, will definitely be back top staff as well

Chatteris is in the middle of the fens so well-placed to get many places but the roads are bad (falling away). It is an ancient building so many small steps. Room a good size and en-suite well fitted. Sort of 4-poster bed but lacked the curtains. Shower lacked power and was very hard to control temperature. Clean. Little noise from street and none from bar but walls and ceilings thin so luck on noise from guests, Good price and basic but okay breakfast. No problems with service. Very large TV in room. Open rail in room rather than wardrobe. Dinners were good value and okay but not exceptional.

Staff great... proprietors disgusting. We have been coming here for the past 18 mths weekly... never had to complain cos staff and food always been good. Today, food was awful, proprietor said if not to your satisfaction go somewhere else... acceptable? I don't think so. We've spent so much money here, but the response was unbelievable. I have so much love for the staff. They do their utmost to please everyone... but the proprietors don't give a damn about their regulars. If you want over priced drinks, but decent priced... well unacceptable meals then visit... but don't expect a warm welcome apart from the staff

Treated my parents to a meal at the Cross Keys this evening.. 4 adults, a teenager and a 4 year old. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the food (cooked by the lovely Anne) was perfect for what we needed on the hottest day of the year so far. Large portions but able to take a doggy bag home. So many options on the menu, a lot better than the standard 'pub grub' you get used to seeing in other similar establishments. Professional, friendly staff too. Such a lovely meal on a Monday evening. Highly recommended.

Amazing meal this afternoon for a 24th Birthday celebration. Delicious meals the meat was perfectly cooked, the dessert selection is 10/10 and the service was brilliant. I highly recommend visiting as soon as you can. Thank you to the Cross Keys team and your wonderful new chef, Sammi!

Just come home after spending the weekend in Chatteris visiting my partners parents. We stayed at the cross keys for two nights. What a lovely place, very quirky with a great character of its own. We got there a lot earlier than we were allowed to check in. David, the proprietor, was more than happy to let us in early, being the room was empty and ready. All the staff were happy and welcoming. The breakfast was ample and well cooked. We used the bar, even took part in the quiz night. So much history around the place. Would like to thank David and his team. We will be back.

We stayed overnight as were visiting friends so we went on a recommendation it didn't disappoint. We had booked a table and again it was a real pleasure as they asked if anyone had any allergies or dietary requirements. The breakfast was just fabulous and cooked to perfection. However, regarding the meal we were quickly seated and the attention to detail was again very impressive. We think we spoke to the owners who had a fantastic sense of humour and put us all at ease. 4 of us for starters, mains and dessert and no exaggerating, we had the best steaks ever. The desserts were home made andnot some overpriced cake from Costco either. The decor is simply fantastic. Afterwards we had a guided tour and it was impressive! Overall, 10 out of 10 for service, food and drink quality and simply a fantastic experience with excellent value for money. We couldn't fault it.

I have stayed here 3 times in the last couple of weeks for work puposes and i have to say it is one of the best experiences in a very long time. From entry to exit, i have found the staff, the owners and the regulars all extremely knowledgable and took an instant liking to the style and flair of the establishment. The rooms have been spacious, extremely clean and everyone has bent over backwards to help. In a similar fashion, the food has been some of the best i have eaten and put it all together in an incredible setting and that is 'The Cross Keys'. Simply perfect, traditional and a true english treasure. Prices for rooms and meals are more than reasonable, in fact excellent value for money. I felt very safe, the wi-fi was excellent and the use of technology in the background is incredibly subtle - cctv etc, secure card transactions. Overall, a big thank you to the owners David and Rebecca for doing a splendid job not only for raising the standards but giving everyone a chance to contribute to some great bar conversations.

This was a lad's cycling trip, a group of middle aged men in lycra cycling from Hertfordshire to Hull. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. Super friendly helpful staff, comfortable clean rooms. They stored our bikes safely and reasonably priced. I'd strongly recommend. We especially enjoyed the dinner and some good ale in the bar with friendly locals.

Stayed here for a week back in 2015. Loved it. Comfy, cozy lounge, great food, and loved the antique feel. This year I stayed with friends in town, but we came for a meal out. Amazing food. We all had steaks. Presentation and service were also outstanding. And, during an afternoon stroll, stopped in for a half pint.
