Not a desirable location, everything around was vacant, people sleeping in tents around the hotel. As you can see in the pictures I have attached. Would not refund my money. I book at The Stonebrook Lodge where it was a much nicer location. I do not recommend

We loved the simplicity & hospitality of the hotel a few years ago - enjoying the river from our balcony was wonderful. We were hoping it fared well in Helene and are relieved it was spared from devastation. The museum was memorable. Hope to return soon.

Very clean and such a peaceful place To sit on balcony above the water and relax. The lady in the office was extremely nice, totally happy with our stay. We went and saw the elk at welcome center until dark and also very early the next morning. Of course you have to eat at Peter’s Pancakes, my favorite breakfast. We will return.

Pleasantly surprised with the updated and very clean room given the affordability. Beds comfortable and plenty of channels on the TV. Private large balcony - room 202 - directly over the water with rocking chairs to enjoy the sounds of the flowing creek. Young lady checking us in was very accommodating and hospitable and readily offered to let us see a room before booking. Close to several restaurants and shops.

This motel is at a great location in the town and as advertised right on the river. Staff were friendly and readily gave advice on the best places to eat. Coffee and snacks available as well. Rooms were clean and quite large. Great to sit on the deck early morning and late afternoon and watch the river flow by.

The hotel was clean; the staff was friendly and helpful. I love the river right outside the back. While close to the road, I did not hear the road sound. They understand the modern family and had LOTS of charging points. One issues the office opened at 8 so no access to ice for my cooler

Perfect weekend getaway. Room had been recently remodeled and was spotless. Really enjoyed the balcony overlooking river. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Motel was in ideal location, within walking distance of several shops and restaurants. Will definitely be back!

What a wonderful and peaceful place to stay! Close to everything, clean, comfortable beds, updated rooms, and a wonderful balcony with comfortable rockers overlooking the river. I didn’t want to leave! Friendly staff, too! We want to come back up and stay here during the autumn months!

This is the third time we have stayed at River’s Edge. This was a 2 night stay. The room has been updated since our last stay (a few years ago). Very clean. Staff are professional and friendly! We love the balcony over the river. Plenty of room on balcony for 2 people. Today we watched tubers floating by and ducks and geese. It is close to National park and the beginning (or ending) of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
