The initial approach was okay with a sealed over rough parking lot. The lobby was clean but the thick glass between clerk and guest was a turn off and was clearly unrelated to Covid bit more for security. The room was small and overall pretty clean. The pillows were all like wooden barrels with no variation in firmness for different comfort levels. The AC thermostat worked initially but turn off and the AC only worked again when lowering the temperature which resulted in a horrible night of hot and cold five times. No sleep. I talked clerk and he replied they're getting ready to change the AC’s. Not a chair in site to sit. Not in the lobby. Not in the room. Not in the rear of property and not in the front. Bed sitting only. There wasn’t handicap parking either. If it is there I couldn’t find it. I give the property a one star for the new stucco and clean lobby as a hook to take your money.

Points for daily room service and cleanliness but that's about it. Bed was uncomfortable. Room climate control was VERY noisy as it cycled off and on all night. On a noisy street, too. A partially used shampoo bottle was the only one provided for several days. It's probably advantageous that they do not give refunds for cancellation because we would have left after the first night had we not had to prepay. It's too bad that it is the only hotel in the town. Despite its convenient location, we will not be staying there again. It's what I would expect of a hotel that charged $75/ night, not $105.

One floor Inn, next to busy road (less than 150 ft away). When you drive up to the Inn you will see a deteriorating parking lot (drive slow). The room is very, very small, inside the whole room is covered in a hard surfaced floor. There is a cheap mini fridge and cheaper countertop microwave (both were covered in dirt). The bed was particularly hard with almost no soft, a firm. Woke up to a very bad back and neck even worse (no thanks to the flat pillows). You hear the traffic all the time. There is a wall ac/heat unit. Be warned it will turn off within one minute if the temperature it's set at is near the temperature of the room. The shower head is set at a height of approx. 5 feet 4 inches, a lot of ducking/slouching here. The free included soap is awful and cheap, the free shampoo was worse. The whole room had dirt on the lower portions of the walls, the window was dirty as well. The staff member was on the rude side; quick, but not friendly. If you like poorly run Motel's this place should do well for you, if they have their rate lowered to $65.00 or less. There are no redeeming qualities about this Motel.

The employees at the front desk are extremely curt and condescending. They really need training on customer service.

I grew up in Cheshire so when I traveled back from SC, I wanted someplace that I was familiar with. So many hotels have become permanent residences and I have felt unsafe due to the conditions and clientele. Not an insult to anyone, but as a woman traveling alone these things are important. I was very pleased with Welcome Inn. The rooms could stand an update, but they were spotless, and the front desk and staff were very helpful. There are options for dining and shopping on RT 10 so it is convenient for shopping.

Very pleasant average property. Quiet, good hot water and hv/ac, comfortable bed. A nice touch is the “ring doorbell”-style door peephole is a nice touch.wi-fi a bit slow. Large flat-screen tv. Freezer and fridge both chilled well. Management is thinking about their guests.Plenty of parking in total, but a spot close to your unit may not be available.

I had stayed at the Cheshire Welcome Inn before, and liked it, so I went back there for an 'overnight' during a long October road trip to New England. As my schedule was a bit uncertain, given stops and drive times, it turned out I arrived around midnight the Saturday night I stayed this time. No worries. The staff at reception was friendly and welcoming, and I checked in quickly. The room was clean and big bed comfy as before, and I liked being able to park my car just outside my front door. Viva vintage motels that have been nicely renovated, like Cheshire Welcome Inn! Was able to get Sunday morning takeout at a nearby McD's (lots of food places around), and return to finish packing and loading my vehicle, between raindrops. Then safely on my way for the final leg home. I once again enjoyed my stay at Cheshire Welcome Inn, Convenient for me on travel to Connecticut. Will return. Thank you!
