I stayed here for 2 nights. Staff were brilliant. My room was comfy and spotless. The guesthouse was quiet and in a great area

Just returned home after a 1 night stay, excellent for what I needed. Very close to the ststion, very clean, bed was comfy, tea & coffee facilities. TV. Would definitely stay there again in the future.

My sister-in-law and I stayed 3 nights last week when on a sightseeing tour of Chester. We booked two small double rooms. We were very impressed with the way the Guest house was run. Friendly and efficient owner, all necessary amenities. , everything spotless. Would certainly recommend.

We stayed here for one night.Doesnt look great from the front but inside it was so clean, tidy and light. Rooms are good. We had a single bed, ensuite with good shower, TV, tea and coffe stuff. We parked round the corner. Five minute walk into town. Would definitely return if in the area again.

Hidden gem, great location, friendly host who can’t help enough, clean tidy warm rooms slightly noisy at the front but no great issue, car parking nearby a bonus, very handy for station and close enough to town to walk into , Nearby cafe and bakery

A very warm greeting from Yanni our server. Ordered and the food was lovely. Our steak was cooked to perfection by the lovely chef, Paul. The whole experience was perfect. Would highly recommend to all.

This place is a hidden gem. Great value for money. It is a short walk from the centre of Chester and the train station. The rooms are modern, comfortable and exceptionally clean. Each room has an en-suite and towels. Shampoo, shower gel,hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities and TV are also provided in the rooms. The foyer is a lovely area for relaxing or meeting up with friends and the staff are helpful and friendly. I stayed with a group of friends for a 40th birthday but I would also stay here with my husband

As you turn left from Chester Rail Station And walk 5 mins turning left at the roundabout you will find Ormonde Guest House. And if you wish to walk to the City centre just turn left outside the guest house and walk approx 10 mins. There are some shops in the same rd as The Ormonde such as a cafe, Morrisons Daily and other food outlets as well. A lovely, kind and welcoming Gentleman on reception greeted me and told me on how I can get into my room with my key fob and showed me how the door automatically locks itself as well. One flight up, My room was spacious and clean and had tea/coffee facilities, With a lovely bathroom with a modern shower inside. It was very quiet and peaceful also.

I had booked a two-night stay but only ended up staying for one night, despite having paid in full. The room I was given was extremely small, with barely any space to move around, no place to sit, and nowhere suitable to get dressed. The curved ceiling made the space feel very claustrophobic — it genuinely felt like being in a coffin. I couldn’t sleep at all, which was especially frustrating as I had an important function to attend the next morning. I would strongly recommend viewing photos of the specific room before booking to avoid disappointment. Based on this experience, I would not choose to stay here again. For my second night, I booked into the Village Hotel instead — a far better experience, even though I had to pay again. It was well worth it.

A lovely guest house with clean and comfortable rooms,the beds where very comfortable and the bathroom was nice and big and so clean ,the hosts where very welcoming and very helpful, great value for money and not too far from the centre...would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Ormonde Guesthouse with my wife Carole for two nights and it was brilliant right from the start , we were met by the owner who was very polite and respectful as he showed us to our room. The room was absolutely great lovely and warm spotlessly clean everything you would need for your stay. There is a kettle and a toaster teabags coffee sugar and milk in the fridge, also mugs and plates. The toilet and shower was spotless plenty of hot water and good pressure on shower. We would definitely stay there again there is also limited parking to the rear first come first served basis. The guesthouse is situated close to the railway station and a short walk to the shops and cafes where you can get a breakfast, there is a small bakery and pizza place opposite and a great little bar at end of street if you like your cask ales. Its about a fifteen minute walk to the town center. We wish the owners every success in the future and hope they stay open. Thank you very much. Carole & Malc .

On arrival, place was dated, stunk of sewage by reception, was told renovations were underway, and we were to be in the old part, this was not a good sign! Filthy, hole in the base sheet, curtains dangerously close to a ***** light, used shower gel, condiments dirty nightmare, shower was an absolute disgrace, cracks in plaster everywhere! Banging nightclub all night, all in all a filthy squat of a hole, and on check out we were asked "so, how was it?" Never again, don't do it don't go, save your souls!

The Manager was extremely friendly. However the toilet flush button was missing but this didn't make much difference because the toilet didn't flush! The tiles were broken, the shower cubicle was dirty and the curtains were hanging off the rails! At least the Manager gives quibble-free refunds!

Great location for Chester town centre. Friendly welcome and shown to my room. Single room which was clean and very comfortable bed. Tea and coffee and shower products were available. Very reasonable prices for Chester. Highly recommended
