芝加哥河北皇家索內斯塔酒店(The Royal Sonesta Chicago River North)

All in all, a pleasant stay, and a good location to be around many of the touristy things to do in downtown Chicago. The staff was friendly and helpful. My biggest complaint is the cost of parking ($75 per day!).

Very good location at River North. Average hotel, good for couple of nights of sightseeing. Loud A/C. No daily cleaning unless requested.

The hotel is clean. Has morning coffee, a nice pool and a terrace.

Room was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. View was very nice. Check in soured my stay at very beginning, as no one checking realized the $30 destination fee was going be added to the bill to, as the clerk explained, "cover the cost of the pool, fitness center, and water in the lobby" to say the least i wasnt the only irritated one. Definitely not staying there again and paying the 30 dollar ice water charge.

I stayed at the Royal Sonesta Chicago River North from 12/6-9th, 2023. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays. My room was very spacious, clean & really nice. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The door was a bit heavy… I’m thinking it’s because the room is soundproofed which is a huge plus if you’re staying in downtown Chicago as I barely heard any noise at night and slept so good. I love that they have a restaurant connected to the hotel - CBR. This was convenient as I arrived at night and did not want to go far for a bite to eat. CBR’s service, food & vibes were great. Would definitely stay at this hotel next time I visit Chicago again.

Hotel staff, including the restaurant were great. The, Hotel, however, is in dire need of a makeover. I was very disappointed at some of the conditions. I don’t appreciate chipped furnishings, drapes coming apart at the seams, drapes that don’t close. I’ve stated this hotel for years but doubt I’ll be returning until it receives a facelift.

It was OK, checking in the front desk girl was not the most friendly, but we let that go and had a nice day. However, upon leaving realized I had left my laptop in the room and have not been able to get a hold of anybody regarding it and that happened almost 24 hours ago. I cannot work without my laptop and I also cannot get anybody to respond to me regarding if they have it, which They must have it, since we left the room right at checkout, and I know exactly what table it was on, housekeeping, obviously saw it, but I cannot get the hotel to respond to me.

The room would always revert to 72 no matter what. No luggage rack in the room. At the room door m was a safety pin and 2 PCs of garbage. Very weird. I went to order room service and was told I would have to go to the restaurant. When I asked for this phone number front desk said they didn’t have a phone. I did Uber eats instead.

Check in was quick but maybe too quick. When I got off the elevator to my room I realized I was never given a room number and had to call down. The room was very very dusty and I couldn’t get good rest from coughing all night. There’s also want room service but the restaurant downstairs has very tasty food and we there twice during our stay. The pool odd not heated but the room is very warm and humid. The water also only goes to 3 1/2feet. The view however is very nice. The last thing was the ELEVATORS. One was down during our stay so during checkout it was a nightmare waiting for the elevator. We ended up having to walk down with our luggage seven floors.
