Excellent location to explore Christchurch attractions. Very clean and well appointed room for an excellent price (I was wondering what It may be getting into). The room quality was a 3+ star for US standards. The only negative is the lack of parking (only offstreet parking or may have to drive a block away for parking). The clean room, friendly staff and excellent location and the overall niceness of Christchurch and it's people in general made us quickly get over the initial stress of trying to find a place to park. 2 of us stayed here back in 2015 for our wedding anniversary. This time we stayed with our adult children. We booked 2 rooms to fit 4 of us. It’s a little bit of luxury for not much more than a regular hotel. The rooms are very comfortable. We enjoyed the bar for afternoon drinks and paid for the continental breakfast in the morning. As well as all of that there are the well maintained gardens and the character of the building itself. We just enjoy our time here and wouldn’t hesitate to book the next time we’re in Christchurch.

Excellent hotel just a stone’s throw from Cathedral Square, and a few minutes walk from the bus interchange. Lovely staff and spotlessly clean large room. Was lucky enough to be there the morning they first opened for breakfast in the L5 restaurant, which I can highly recommend - the home made lemon curd yoghurt and granola was delicious! Looking forward to staying again.
