Beautiful hotel, comfortable room. Central for everything. The staff are so helpful and welcoming. Made me a coffee on arrival as I was early.Hotel has a lovely atmosphere and is extremely clean. The breakfast was very good, quality products and cooked perfect. I would definitely use this hotel again if I returned to the area

Wow, tried to speak to Julie twice today regarding our company using their hotel as our 'preferred corporate venue for accommodation', which I wanted to discuss in more detail with her to see what they could offer us. We are currently spending around £60,000 per year which increases year on year. However, on the first call Julie said they were in middle of breakfast and before even giving me a chance to explain above said they weren't interested and put the phone down. I called back and again tried to explain to her what I was calling about, but she said I was rude and not interested and put phone down. Really, me rude! she didn't even give me a chance to explain what I wanted....oh well your BIG loss lovely lady, I'll give my business to another local hotel!!!

We had a wonderful and very tasty well presented meal chosen from the A La Carte menu. Where however were the ‘locals’ you are missing out on a real treat only a short walk from the centre of Cirencester. We will certainly be back from our home town in Worcestershire.

Stayed for a weekend in December in a character room (top floor). The room was lovely - it is an old hotel, which we knew as we had read up on it, so the stairs were quite steep. Easy for us but I know they also have rooms downstairs if you don’t fancy the stairs. The hotel was about a 10 minute slow walk to town, walking past the most beautiful church. It was such a relaxed hotel and the staff were brilliant. There when you needed them but not intrusive. Incredibly polite. Food was delicious and I enjoyed the mulled wine in the evening! All in all a fab stay and if we are in Cirencester again, it would be our hotel of choice. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed my solo trip! Fantastic service, pub area and breakfast. Make sure you stop there for dinner- the burger is one of the best I have ever had. Good selection of draft beers and wine. Will be returning in the summertime to enjoy their large beer garden.

Me , my girlfriend and our dog Lola have returned home after spending 2 nights at this lovely hotel, from email communications to greeting at checking in, service during stay in the bar for lunch, breakfast time and food brought up for room service, can't remember a stay away where staff were so friendly and made you feel comfortable and homely, not just welcome, and I'm writing this more for Lola , as she is a nervy dog, this stay is the best she's had by far, all of it from start to finish made her so comfortable. Booked this for 2 night stay with hubby. Location brilliant - in the centre of town plus good parking facilities. Beautiful building, very clean, staff uber friendly, lovely bar and dining room. Our bedroom was comfortable, big bed, petite bathroom. Only issue we had was the bad TV reception - could only get BBC..... Not really an issue as we were out most of the time. Breakfast was lovely - I had the kippers both days. Evening meal was just so-so - hubby had the chilli starter which was very gloopy and he didn't eat. His steak was nicely cooked. There were things on the menu which I wanted but was told they'd ran out - it'd be a good idea to tell folks before looking at the menu. So food was just ok. we would definitely return to the hotel - really friendly staff, lovely surroundings - all in all I would recommend.

Beautiful 16th century building, lots of original features. Free parking just outside your hotel, and a garden. Friendly warm welcome. Rooms are set at the back from the bar and restaurant. Cozy bar area. Restaurant was amazing, food was homemade and delicious. Breakfast was to order but again really good. Friendly staff. Rooms are decorated with style, good sturdy furniture and the bed was super comfortable. Room comes with kettle, bottle water, hairdryer, shower gel/shampoo, beautiful thick towels, iron and board, extra pillows, guide book full of local information and places of interest, free wifi, and a good size tv for the room size. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from town centre surrounded by beautiful buildings, yet located on a quiet street. You do have the option to get a room on the ground floor if needed, all you have to do is phone ahead and ask. The town itself has everything you need, with lots of unique shops, market and a beautiful church. Thank you for great stay, we will be back.

Lovely oldie worldly hotel that we have been visiting for over 13 years. Small and friendly nice food, and a short walk into lovely Cirencester town. Only 2 ground floor rooms, no lift so make preferences clear.
