天堂海灘度假酒店(Paradise on the Beach Resort)

I hate writing bad reviews, but this one has to be said. The biggest problem with the property, is not the dated look, or the lack of basic amenities or how it looks like it hasn't been renovated since the 80s. Its the lack of staff, since they are only available between 8am-5pm, on weekdays, some hours on weekends. I mean, its a hotel, what's wrong with them. You can check in late or check out early, thats fine. You need extra shampoo? Well, too bad, take a shower next day since the front desk is closed. Internet doesn't work? Well too bad, wait until tomorrow. Further, they only give you 2 room towels and 2 beach towels (hotel is on a beach), and they then want to charge extra for more towels. FOR TOWELS!! The overall look is extremely dated and it feels like a 2-star budget hotel. I would HIGHLY recommend people to NOT stay here, its not worth it

Staff - cleaning team with Joel’s were excellent plus reception Silvia too. Very noisy early mornings because of rubbish trucks !!!! Main complaint is with ******* (are you there??) - my booking form clearly stated payment was to be made AT THE HOTEL. Not so, because ******* extracted the money from my NZ credit card 7 days prior to arrival. This is not appropriate behaviour - I gave my NZ card in case of cancellation. I was going to pay at the hotel with my oz credit card and avoid the exchange fees. I showed the booking form to the reception and they apologized but could do nothing.

Excellent location in the hub of Palm Cove, beachfront with many dining options only moments away. If you wished to stay on the property there is an excellent pool, spa area and outdoor kitchen with bbqs and seating available. My only grumble would be that there needs to be a tea towel and dish detergent supplied in the apartments..

Please note that the shower is over the bath and the couch is low so it is not good for people with mobility issues. Accessibility is great and the staff were super helpful. Daily cleaning of the pool and surrounds was great and the spa is amazing.

Nice location, tiny kitchen and bug problems they said they were dealing with. Fine for a one night stay. Walkable which was good because parking was limited.

WE love it! The staff were amazing! Public bus out the front to take you anywhere! Dining, Clubs, taverns, shops etc just a walk! Thankyou for having us! Have booked again for March 2024!

In the middle of the resort with plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. Directly opposite beach and supervised swimming area. Not the most modern rooms but clean enough and good value for money. Highly recommended.
