The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The restaurant was also very good. The garden is a lovely feature. Parking is easy and free. Location is great. The room I got in the original building was large but didn't make use of all the space. There was room for a comfy chair and a small coffee table but had only a desk with a basic chair. Shower is on the small side but worked very well. The bed is okay, however, I will never understand the german tradition with very large pillows with a lot of fabric but hardly any filling. You will have to push, fold and tweak the pillows into something with a little bit of height and repeat during the night. I've seen it in other places in Germany as well and it is not what I prefer at all. Kind of strange actually. The conclusion: I would recommend the hotel to anyone going to Schleswig.
