A Disappointing Experience We planned a family holiday to reunite two families from different countries after three years of separation. I found this hotel on TUI, and the photos showcased elegant furniture and attractive facilities. My wife and I were convinced it was a good choice, so I proposed it to my brother, and we all booked our trip for July 2024. Initially, I was excited, but unfortunately, the reality was a far cry from what we expected. The Welcome We arrived at the hotel at 6:00 am, and my daughter needed to use the restroom. The reception directed us to the WC on the lower floor, where we found all the cabins dirty, with the floor covered in water. It was an unsettling first impression. [Photos attached] The Bellman The bellman was asked to escort us to our room. However, he appeared visibly shocked when he saw that we had three 20kg bags, despite us being a family of four (two adults and two children under five). To this day, I cannot understand why he reacted that way—it was quite unprofessional. The Room [Photos Attached] The room itself was spacious, featuring a lovely terrace and a large double-sided door overlooking the pool. However, its condition was appalling (and ”dirty” is a mild term here): - The floor was littered with hair and dust, clearly not cleaned. - The small carpet was full of stains. - The dressing table was covered with traces of cosmetics from the previous guest—absolutely disgusting. - The kettle was blackened inside. How can such an item be provided without concern for guests' health? - All the curtains were filthy and stained—how does this even happen? - The toilet was not clean. - One of the chairs in the room was damaged. The Staff To their credit, the staff were friendly, supportive, and tried to help. When we complained about the state of the room, they cleaned it to an acceptable standard after asking us to step out. However, such issues point to a serious lack of management oversight and quality control in the property. The Pool - The pool and its surrounding area were riddled with holes in the floor, causing my kids to trip repeatedly. - The pool itself wasn’t clean—I even found a sock floating in the water. - Aqua Park is acceptable. The Restaurant Although the staff were courteous and tried their best, there were issues that went beyond their control: - The furniture was old, with dirty and wobbly chairs. - There was a strong, unpleasant smell in the dining hall, which made it impossible for my kids to eat anything but plain noodles. While I tolerated it and ate normally (trusting the food was clean), the odor was overwhelming. - The process of setting up tables for new guests was inefficient, and we often had to wait for a table to be prepared. - There are two restaurants on the property: - - The main restaurant near the reception had the aforementioned smell. - - The second restaurant, located directly below the first, catered specifically to guests from the EU or the USA (those wearing

餐食：包一日三餐，品種挺多，但是對於中國人來說還是不好吃……但是吃了埃及幾家全包酒店都不符合中國人口味，還是帶過來點方便麵辣椒醬吧……酒店有3個還是4個餐廳，那個餐廳每餐基本沒什麼太大區別……但是餐廳人挺多，經常坐的滿滿的，但基本24小時內都有飯吃，而且酒店的酒吧，飲品台的飲品，冰淇淋什麼的都是免費的，在裏面獃著很舒服～ 房間：忘了拍房間的照片了，但是房間還是很不錯的，4——5星酒店的標準，打掃小哥收拾的很乾凈，本來不想讓他平時進來收拾的所以掛了免打擾的牌子，但是打掃小哥每天都會關注我什麼時候出去回去，然後來跟我們聊天非要收拾房間，所以多準備點零錢當小費吧😰房間特別寬敞，衛生間也很不錯，帶個小陽台，陽台景觀大概就是 圖5圖8 沙灘：：酒店有私人沙灘，但是和酒店不在一起，需要在大堂門口坐10分鐘左右的車到，沙灘不大，人特別多，圖7是沙灘，但是在沙灘有酒店提供的免費餐台，有一些沙拉麵包薯條飲料冰淇淋，但是不得不說沙姆沙伊赫水下是真的贊啊！從沙灘走到水里浮潛也就幾米就可以看到好多活珊瑚，魚羣，大隻的尼莫，在沙姆深潛也能看到好多東西！但是1.2月份下水是真的冷，下水還是3月以後吧 水上樂園：這個應該是這個酒店的賣點了！超大的水上樂園！每個項目都有工作人員，而且全都是免費的！！！這家酒店有一部分水上樂園，重點是隔壁酒店跟這個酒店是一個集團的，帶着手環就可以在白天隨便進去玩！隔壁酒店水上樂園也特別大，而且跟這個酒店水上項目不重複，還有比過山車還大的水上過山車，因為天氣冷所以我們一般都是中午以後開始玩，這兩個酒店的水上樂園就玩了2天 服務：前台工作人員服務態度一般，整個酒店特別熱鬧，人超級多，主要以俄羅斯人為主，基本上酒店工作人員都會先跟你說俄語，中國人我們去的時候根本沒有，所以身為亞洲麪孔就格外顯眼，以至於每次做活動氛圍組的小哥都想帶上我們一起玩……甚至酒店裡的工作人員還問我們為什麼來這……中國人很少知道這個地方……工作人員除了前台小哥態度一般，其他人都挺好的 總結下就是500的價格定到這樣的全包酒店還是挺好的，水上樂園特別適合帶孩子來，以後應該還會再來的，哦對了誇獎下攜程！是各個平台裏定這家酒店最便宜的！比booking和agoda都便宜！而且客服也隨時在線，贊一個！ 哦對了，酒店不提供免費的酒店接送，沙姆普遍打車貴，不能用Uber,從機場過來時候砍價到250埃鎊，回去時候衹能在酒店訂車了，18美金或者300埃鎊……

For the first time in my life, I wish I had stayed home instead of traveling. We stayed at ecotel for 3 nights as a group of girls and for the first time traveling, I was actually looking forward to come back home. Let me start with the positives fast as the negatives will definitely take longer to write down. Pros: The hotel itself is pretty and the room had a beautiful view. The NYE's party's buffet was very rich in choices; it had a very big selection of food. The room is clean and comfy and the housekeeper was pretty much the sweetest person there. Now let's jump to cons: The hotel feels disorganized; there wasn't a sense of order in the whole place. One of the main receptionists was almost rude; he rarely, if ever, smiles and when we went to upgrade to full board with hard drinks (we were half-board) he flat out told us ”We don't upgrade Egyptians to hard full board” which just doesn't make any sense and when I commented that we didn't know that and someone should have mentioned this he flatly replied ”well, now you know”!! One of us asked a waiter for water and he literally just replied ”well you'll find it inside” as in go get it yourself. The beach bar was closed and there was not ONE heated pool in the whole hotel which I never experiences at a hotel before. The NYE's party was a joke! First off, we asked if a friend of ours can join and the guest relation's lady assured us that it's possible and she'll just have to pay 1500EGP and that she'll get back to us with WHEN to pay, but when our friend arrived at the hotel it was very obvious the reception had no idea whatsoever about this and when we told them we arranged it with Dina the GR, the main receptionist asked us to pay instantly to ”save a spot” so I'm still lost to what the GR was checking as to ”when to pay” lol The only positive in the party was the wide selection of food but even this had a slight downside because they didn't write the dish name under any of the chafing dishes so we had to keep opening and closing them to find out what they contained and other food that was out in the open we pretty much skipped because we couldn't tell what it contained and the chefs were, naturally, busy so we couldn't just ask a chef for every single plate in the buffet. Dina, the GR rep, assured us that we have a drink each at the party but when we tried to order the waiter told us it's for extra money but after getting back to the manager and him seeing the apparent frustration on our face we had the drinks served to our table at the end, to be honest. Not to mention that even at the party we were asked to pay for any soft drinks we order as if we're still half-board so I'm genuinely not sure what the extra 1500 EGP was exactly for since dinner should already be included in our day even if we skipped the party and I certainly wouldn't pay even 150 Egp to attend this party so at least let me have one soda for free during the party. 怎麼說呢，嚴重不推薦入住該酒店！先從到達說起吧！在達哈卜坐的gobus到達沙姆車站，到達時間是晚上10點，到達後車站一大堆人圍上來說到酒店收費200埃，事先知道距離很近，但是想到晚上到達人生地不熟的，野的主動降成150埃就同意去酒店了！幾分鐘會到達酒店門口不讓出租進去讓我們在門口等接駁車，一會兒接駁車就來了，接我們去了前台辦理入住手續！在前台處辦理入住的人很多很雜，由於語音不是很通順，讓我們提供相關手續等待一會兒可以理解，不能理解的是手續完備情況下，告知我們不能辦理入住手續，因為供應商不是中國的，是英國的，讓我們一邊去自己聯繫供應商！於是我們給攜程聯繫，攜程倒很積極與供應商溝通，這時聽到前台接待那個男的站前台大喊：Chinese！因為這個大廳人很多，但是沒有一個中國人，所以我們判斷他肯定是在叫我們，然後給我們辦理入住，酒店對於給我們造成延遲辦理入住沒有任何歉意，倒是攜程主動補貼我們100房費，點贊！這時一個服務生麪無表情的用接駁車把我們送到住處！由於我們衹訂了1天的酒店，第二天中午12點要退房，但我們是第2天晚上凌晨3點過點飛機，所以問是否可以延遲退房，答覆補交70歐住到晚上9點，於是我們同意，但是需要換房，有人帶我們去換的房間處！我們在房間裏等來了那個服務生，開接駁車來的，到了我們房間后我們一個30寸箱子，一個登機箱，全程服務生苦臉一張，也根本不主動替我們提一下箱子，像我們欠他、我們是給他提箱子的似的，到了接駁車處，我把我的登機箱放接駁車后，這時我老公把箱子準備放前麪，服務生喊他放後面，可我老公把大箱子還沒有放好在車上，這個服務生卻猛的一下倒車，我的登機箱立馬從車上嘭的一聲直接摔到地上，導致我大幾千的日默瓦旅行箱把手上很明顯的划痕，對於這樣大的酒店這樣粗魯的服務我們感到十分驚訝和憤怒，事情發生后卻沒有聽到一句道歉！請問中國人不是客人嗎？這酒店價格也不便宜，我們花錢住酒店是為了享受這樣服務嗎？嚴重不建議中國人住該酒店！附箱子被摔后划傷照片

This is a five star review for an amazing little find. In a sea of King size resorts and aqua parks this is a tiny little gem with 20 beach bungalows. We are a more mature married couple who are also digital nomads and we work from home. The Wi-Fi was good enough enough for us to do zoom calls and the service was just exquisite. It’s a very small place with one gardner one receptionist one manager one housekeeping lad and then a couple of bar and kitchenstaff. This is a perfect space if you want to sit on your patio and read a book, hear the sea on the beach as you sleep and wake up with the sunrise on the reef. Please note there is a jetty to take you out to the reef so you’re not standing on and damaging the coral. The coral is right up against the coast. We highly recommend this and would definitely come back. It’s incredibly affordable and it’s so cute to have a comfortable beach bungalow with a full size bathroom and walk-in shower with plenty of hot water. Spotlessly clean tons of Egyptian cotton sheets and towels. An enormous bed. Air-conditioning (that we didn’t use because it’s December.). we chose to have breakfast included which was very affordable and it was a simple Egyptian breakfast of boiled eggs, cheeses fruits, salad, a basket of bread and fresh handmade danish pastries. We also had juice and coffee and tea. You can take lunch, but as this beach bungalow hotel is also the private beach for four big resorts it does get a little bit busy at lunchtime. To reiterate this is the private beach for four big resorts , so the mini buses do come down between 9 am and 3 pm so if you’re working for home or doing trips out this isn’t a problem for us. You get the beach to yourself at sunset and sunrise which is just magical. Romantic budget practical digital nomad paradise. A four star venue with six star service✨✨✨✨✨✨ take time to speak to the head receptionist Mohamed ALi who although is quite a young man is a proficient novelist and speaks English very well indeed.
