Palais Amani is a charming hotel, in the traditional Riad style. Staff was so helpful and friendly, and the restaurant does a good job with traditional Moroccan dishes. Also, it is in a beautiful setting. While at Palais Amani, we took a cooking class with Fez Cooking School. The whole experience set a wonderful mood for our trip, from shopping for ingredients in the souk to cooking chicken tagine at the hotel's rooftop kitchen. Lubna and her colleagues were knowledgeable, charming, and a lot of fun.
The height of elegance, Ryad Mabrouka, offered an oasis on the edge of the vibrant Medina of Fes. With its sumptuous atrium opening to an unexpected, lush garden, it offered a gracious serenity. And then there was the rooftop terrace with panoramic views overlooking the entire city. Our room – more like a suite – was cavernous and fitted with the finest touches. Mohammed was an unfailingly attentive and enthusiastic host. Meals, both evening and breakfast, were superb, served with refinement. There is nothing to fault in the gracious boutique hotel.
This is the first time I have decided to write a review for anything as this place has been nothing but EXCEPTIONAL. We came here to explore Fes with two young girls ( aged 5 and 6). We were welcomed with all smiles and the manager even walked with us to the streets of Madina - which can be really tricky to get around. Having young children can be challenging on holiday but the staff and owners made them feel welcomed and treated us like family - asking the girls to decorate the Christmas tree, putting presents for all of us under the tree, cooking us the most exceptional celebratory meals. They had put a great selection of games out for us to play as a family - we have found a new hobby! Everyone at the riad has been kind and has gone the extra mile. Previously, having stayed at 5* resorts and hotels, this riad has become a family favourite. We were able to walk to the madina daily and walked to the new city. Also, It has the most exceptional views from the rooftop. I would definitely recommend this riad to anyone wanting to explore Fes and hope to come back soon. Thankyou for an amazing stay!

Simply put, we have never felt more welcome in anywhere we have ever stayed. Yasmine and Alex were incredible hosts, and have a beautiful and traditional Riad, which is excellently decorated. Yasmine and Alex go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and safe in the city, and options to explore the local area. Delicious food at the riad (some of the best we ate in Morocco) and provided great suggestions for other places to eat. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Fes.
Our stay at Riad Laaroussa was for 3 nights. We were welcomed by extremely pleasant staff, and were served Moroccan tea at checkin. The Riad is extremely beautiful and well kept! Our room was spacious, clean and gorgeous!! The food at the bistro is excellent! Breakfast was also delicious!! Bistro has a gorgeous panoramic view of Fez!! We enjoyed every minute of breathtaking view of the city! Definitely five stars for this riad!! Now about the staff. No word can explain how amazing the staff is! From restaurant to the front desk and house keeping staff! Always greeted us with smile and made us feel welcome. Othamne, Ghita and Hajar will go above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable, enjoyable and very pleasant! No words can explain how grateful we were to have experienced such an exceptional stay, and had amazing group of people to be there to make our stay unforgettable! Thank you, to everyone at Riad Laaroussa for a five star service! I will highly recommend the stay here on your trip Fez!!
訪訪客Tucked away in the labyrinth alleys of the Medina, Riad Algila transports one into a world of tranquility & elegance. The riad's meticulously adorned courtyard with gentle tricking of water from the fountain, swaying green trees and intricate tile work serves as a peaceful sanctuary from the bustling city outside.
Our 2 day stay was nothing short of enchanting. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, adorned with traditional Moroccan decor with modern amenities, provided a luxurious retreat after a day of exploration. The staff always attentive with insightful recommendations, made all the difference to our stay.
Riad Algila truly embodies the essence of Moroccan hospitality offering a respite of calm and beauty amidst the vibrant tapestry of Fes.
AAndyRondaIn terms of value for money this Riad is a good choice. Its location is ideal - quiet in the old town medina but only a hundred yards from a taxi drop off - and good for getting to places in and out of the medina. The rooms are fine for the price we paid. Not luxurious but things worked and the beds were comfortable. We had room 4 on the top floor - exactly 50 steep stairs to get to it so not for anyone with health issues but very quiet and private. We thought some of the other rooms might have been noisy from the central courtyard but this was only our feeling - we had peace and quiet. The roof terrace is pleasant although whilst having some laundry drying there most of the day is environmentally friendly we thought it not so attractive. There are some views but it is very much overlooked by other riads nearby. What makes this a special place is the attitude of the staff - their desire to be helpful and attentive was exemplary. From Merriem the manageress through to Mohammed and another guy whose name was something like Ayub - sorry this is so remiss of me - and the kitchen staff who opened the door for us with smiles, everyone seemed prepared to go the extra yard to make our experience so special. Mint tea was offered or just appeared when we returned from excursions and Merriem's recommendations for activities and restaurants were brilliant. Breakfasts were good too and they accommodated our request for a repeat of some special local doughnut-like specialities. Thanks to Merriem we had a great local guide for the medina, an enjoyable hammam experience, a wonderful cookery class, a taxi day out to Volubilis which was a highlight and visited a ceramic factory with brilliant artisans at work. Her restaurant recommendations were all spot on for us as non-meat eaters - we have reviewed them separately. So go for the location and the helpfulness of the staff..... and value for money, certainly in the room we were allocated - number 4.
訪訪客We spent 2 nights in this rather dated hotel as part of a tour of Morocco. It needs a good upgrade to compete with other hotels on the tour. We had 2 breakfasts and one dinner at the hotel , non of which were inspiring. Was glad when we moved on.
