Grafton Cottage and Chalets is situated on a hillside facing the Hauraki Gulf, a couple of kilometres south of the Thames town centre. We spent one night in Rose Chalet, close to the pool and spa area. We had a spectacular view of the gulf from the chalet, which was clean, quiet and very comfortable, with everything we needed. Alby gave us a warm welcome and was very helpful in providing advice and information about the area. We enjoyed the generous continental breakfast that he brought to our chalet. The premises are in a good location for exploring the Thames area and only a short drive from several well-regarded cafes and restaurants. We would happily stay here again!

Sunset Motel is a great little motel in a fantastic location, right on a beautiful beach, close to walks along rivers and forests and a short trip to shops either in the community bus or walking along the shore. Our cabin was quiet, clean and equipped with everything we needed for a few days. The staff were super friendly and helpful, with suggestions for special walks and encouraging us to use their laundry and clothes line. The local museum and gold mining experience showed the amazing history of the town.
