The Staff at Macarico Beach Hotel in Praia De Mira is wonderful and that's why I rated 4 stars. Everyone is very nice and professional, also very helpful. However the hotel needs a few things to change. The room has a glass bathroom with a sheer white curtain. No privacy to use toilet. Showering isn't a big deal but myself and boyfriend felt uncomfortable using the toilet to relief our stomach. We had to leave the room or sit on the balcony while the other was on the toilet. Also there was no shelf in the shower to put soap, shampoo or shower gel. The balcony needs a screen to prevent mosquitoes from entering the room. We wanted an ocean view with a balcony so we can hear the ocean while sleeping. But mosquitoes came in because of no screen door. The hallway needed more lights, was dark in the night. Also the breakfast was not the best. Not many options. A few pastries and the same watery eggs with mushrooms. I was not impressed with the breakfast. Also the laundry service was very expensive. I wanted 2 jeans and 4 sweaters to be washed in cold water. They charged 31 Euros. After that I had to look for a Laundromat and find time to wash clothes on my vacation. We were there for 13 days and I don't like to have dirty clothes in my luggage. One of the reasons why I chose Macarico because they offered laundry service, but I was not aware of how expensive it would be to wash a few pieces of clothing. I paid 10 Euros to wash and dry a load of clothes at the Lavandaria 5 minutes away from the hotel. The pool is small and so is the gym. I didn't have the chance to try their Spa. Overall I would not recommend Macarico Beach Hotel in Praia De Mira nor will I stay there again. Look into an Airbnb or different hotel.

Hotel situado em zona calma de vivendas rodeado de pinheiros, a 5 minutos de carro da praia de Mira, localização boa para quem procura sossego. O staff foi cordial e simpático, e esforçam-se por ajudar, contudo, é visível que o hotel não tem pessoal suficiente para o número de quartos, no pequeno-almoço não conseguem repor com a rapidez necessária, e num dos dias nem fizeram a limpeza dos quartos (reservámos 3 quartos). Nos outros dias a limpeza consistiu em fazer camas e nem o lixo foi despejado. Na maior parte do tempo a receção não tem ninguém, pois têm de dar apoio no pequeno-almoço ou nos quartos. Vários problemas de manutenção e avarias nos quartos, infiltrações de humidade no edifício(um dos quartos cheirava a humidade), e sobretudo a zona da piscina bastante desmazelada. Ervas daninhas, espreguiçadeiras velhas e queimadas pelo sol, falta de limpeza da piscina. Num dos quartos a televisão via-se mal. Não consegui descansar porque durante a noite se ouve um ruído constante de ventilação, ou talvez máquinas de lavar, derrota todo o objetivo deste hotel que é de ir para uma zona sossegada. Os quartos sim são modernos e o wi-fi funciona bem, mas precisa de mais investimento, pessoal e manutenção para justificar a categoria de 4 estrelas e o preço pedido.

Das Hotel hat eine perfekte Lage, ist in Zentrum vom Ort jedoch auf eine ruhiger Straße. Bis zum Strand 500 m entfernt. Man kann unendlich lang am Strand spazieren oder auf anderen Seite - durch Ort an malerischen Häuschen vorbei. Die Zimmer im Hotel sind hell, sauber, haben Fernseher, Safe, kleinen Kühlschrank und Balkon. Das Personal ist sehe freundlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Und der Tiefgarage hat genug Platz.

Hôtel très bien situé pour les voyageurs en voiture, proche du centre d’Aveiro, des axes autoroutiers et des plages de Costa Nova et Praia do Barril en moins de 15min en voiture. Accueil et personnel très serviable. Piscine intérieure (accessible sous réservation et avec un bonnet de bain) et extérieur très bien ! Incroyable petit déjeuner typique portugais, je recommande ! Je recommande également les massages au SPA, je suis actuellement enceinte de 7,5 mois et le massage relaxant a été adapté pour moi, c’était vraiment super ! Mais attention, l’hôtel est en construction, visiblement une extension. Par conséquent qui dit construction, dit bruits associés pendant la journée. Nous sommes venus en famille, avec un enfant en bas âge qui fait encore ces siestes l’après-midi, donc avec les bruits très compliqués! Les travaux donnent pile sur la piscine extérieure de l’hôtel, donc la détente n’est pas au rendez-vous. De plus, l’hôtel est particulièrement mal isolé ! En effet, dans les chambres ont entend tout ! Les bruits de la route très passante, nuit et jour, les bruits de la chambre au-dessus, les bruits dans les couloirs et l’ascenseur qui bipe tout le temps. Pour un 4 étoile, l’isolation est extrêmement décevante ! Un parking privé gratuit est disponible au -1 de l’hôtel, mais attention à l’accès ! La descente est vraiment très en pente, pas adapté aux voitures basses, nous qui avons un 4x4, c’était tout juste. Nous sommes déçus de ne pas voir été prévenus des travaux avant notre arrivée et globalement de l’isolation très mauvaise. Le reste des prestations de l’hôtel sont correctes.
