The room is spacious. I stayed in 4 cities and this hotel is the biggest. Breakfast is plentiful. There is another café as well as the main dining room on the ground level. Layout of the bathroom is a bit strange. There is no door of shower cubicle. The water will flow into the floor from the shower booth. Right after we checked in, I took a very quick shower. Still the water went outside of the shower cubicle. After me, another took a proper shower, the entire floor of the bathroom got wet. I think the floor should be a bit slanted and water must be flooding from the shower cubicle itself. Water barrier must not be equipped properly. You can expect the following in the room; - Wi-Fi - Complimentary water and drink - TV - AC - Mini fridge - safe - room service There is a hypermarket in walking distance but they are closed around 1100 or 1200 for praying, check their opening time. Our group went to an Egyptian eatery nearby for dinner. It seems like there is a Syrian restaurant as well. Hotel reception doesn’t exchange currency. Prepare enough local currency if you don’t want to use your CC. There is a swimming pool on the rooftop. The view is good, you may want to go up to check. There is gym as well
I stayed for 4 days in this hotel as part of quarantine package in the month of feb 22. Amazing room with all digital controlled circuits be it curtains, room lighting, cooling system. Beautiful decorated spacious rooms. Food was better than expected. Being vegetarian, I know my options were going to be very limited but chef really helped me by making veg pastas and falafel sandwich etc. I would like to stay here again, for sure not under quarantine package, to explore more on the available facilities. Here I would like to give special thanks to the reception team (sorry I forgot the name of the lady and the guy on the reception ) who were always ready to helped me and assist at each and every steps during quarantine. A will surely stay again in this hotel.
訪訪客Amazing service and very friendly staff, definitely I am considering Mercure Jeddah as my second home. The service, the cleanliness and the staff hospitality is beyond expectation I would recommend to anyone whom is looking for a nice stay in Jeddah
The Aluya Hotel is situated in the Al Hamra area of Jeddah and a perfect position for getting around both in a taxi or walking. The location is very close to Palestine Street which is full of shops, cafes and restaurants and leads to the middle corniche. As soon as I entered the hotel I was impressed. There was a beautiful aroma in the air and the entrance way and ground floor area well presented. I have to say that a stand out for me about this hotel is definitely the staff. They are all delightful, welcoming and eager to make your stay the best it can be. I would like to thank all the staff but in particular Naif, Nadia, Samar and Ahmed Bin Afif (the owner). They are clearly all working hard to make this hotel the best it can be. The facilities of the hotel are superb. I reserved a deluxe king room and on arrival for one night I was upgraded to the executive suite. What a wonderful treat that was. The hotel thoughtfully provides all the traveller may need. There are nice toiletries, a hairdryer, tea/coffee and water, good air conditioning, entertainment and if required an iron on request. The rooms are exactly like the pictures on the hotel website. The king sized bed was wonderfully comfortable and I was afforded a nice view from the room. My room was at the front of the hotel. Breakfast was included and was served on the 6th floor. The choice was very good. They have traditional breakfast items and then also continental breakfast items. There is plenty of tea and coffee and juice to accompany the breakfast and the restaurant is really pleasant and provides a fantastic view. They also encourage guests to visit this area of the hotel at other times of the day to enjoy tea or coffee. While I was there I was served Saudi Arabian coffee by Hamid. He took the time to explain to me how the coffee was made and it tasted delicious. All in all I cannot recommend this hotel enough. If you are looking for a hotel in a great area, with really nice facilities, at a very reasonable price and that is staffed by wonderful people, look no further than The Aluya.
訪訪客We booked here after our tour company booked us into another “4” star hotel that was terrible. Booked with 10 mins notice - room was ready when we got there. Extremely happy with our decision to book address - hotel is modern, decent size rooms , Dead Sea products in the bathroom - extra large comfy bed - large buffet with omelette and pancake station. Gym wasn’t open as it was being renovated but not essential. About 5 mins walk from cornice and walking distance to many restaurants. Highly recommend if needing to stay in Jeddah with an exceptional 4 star hotel.
訪訪客Comfortable bed/pillows, clean room, good food. Great service from staff, especially Abdullah (management) and Medhat (chef). Some issues with wifi (stopped working midway through stay) which was very inconvenient. Good location.
