i can recommend the hotel, it has a very good location, near the beach and offers great value (you get what you pay for). the staff is generally very friendly, special thanks to the gentleman looking after the pool/wellness area, and also Milena from the reception. yes, there was a few problems during my check-in, but she always remained friendly and maintained a smile , and they offered 1 night stay for my dog for free as a compensation at the end of my stay, which I thought was a nice gesture. thanks for that.
This is not a 5-star hotel. They have the potential to be 5 stars, since the facilities are fabulous. Our room was very nice looking with a great view to the hills and to the sea. The “park view” is an understatement, it was a beautiful hillside view. Also the large outdoor pool is fantastic and the breakfast terrace also offers fabulous views to the garden and to the sea. But all this goes to waste, because the staff doesn’t care to make an effort. The breakfast food was leathery and there were no sweets or pastries to have with your coffee. This was a first time with such a poor selection and quality in a 5 star hotel. There is no concierge service, you have to carry your own bags to the room, in a 5 star hotel. The staff was ignorant and rude; they kept asking constantly if we are guests of this hotel. As if we were not good enough to be guests of this hotel so they had to keep snobbishly asking about it all the time. There is no room service in this hotel whatsoever. When we wanted our clothes washed, we call the reception to have somebody pick it up from our room and it will be returned the next day before 18.00 like they promise in the room’s laundry info leaflet. When we called, the receptionist responded by saying it is already late (19.00), so could we bring the laundry to the reception by ourselves. Then the next day, when by 21.00, the laundry bag still had not been returned to our room, we went to the reception to ask about it. It tuns out the bag is there forgotten. The receptionist told us we have to take it to the room by ourselves, as she cannot send anybody to bring it to us and she cannot leave the reception herself. We cannot believe this amount of self-service one has to endure in a 5 star hotel. The reception staff didn’t bother to give us the towel card at the arrival or inform us that we need one when we go to the large outdoor pool. So when we went to the pool, the poolboy informed us that we need the towel card and should walk all the way back up to the huge hill to the hotel reception to get it. It’s ridiculous that they make customers run around like this. The pools are only open till 19.00, which is really odd in a 5 star hotel. There is no reason why they can’t be open till 21 or 22 like in many other hotels, many guests would love to swim and relax in the evening when it’s not so hot anymore. Then the pool staff started shutting down the outdoor pool umbrellas and chairs already at 18.00, even though guests were still using those. The jacuzzi was turned off already at 18.00, even though it was supposed to be open till 19.00. And the employee at the pool refused to turn it back on and claimed they were all in “maintenance”, even though they had water in them. So clearly there was maintenance, just ignorance towards his job. We have paid for the jacuzzi and we want to use it during our stay. You shouldn’t do “maintenance” on all the 3 jacuzzis you have at the same time, so the guests can enjoy at least o

訪訪客We came for late dinner 2045 while the restuarent closed at 21. At 21 the staff began collecting all the food thus we had to compete with them... Our protests was responded by grilled chops the cook prepared for us. Still it was a bad experience. The PR guy to whom who addressed the problem apologised a lot but did not offer any compensation. The excess to Portoraz SPA from the hotel is a considerable trip and when we asked direction from the staff they were very rude. The parking is not free although they did not mention this fact while directing you there. I found this retro fee o ly while xhecking out. Although the room is nice and breakfast rich I would not recommend this hotel.
訪訪客I have been visit Histrion hotel every years since 2009 until 2019 when Corona started. Now I was in a renovated hotel for the first time and my impression is very positive. The new design is excellent and in line with the world trend. I stayed at the hotel from 13.07 to 18.07.2023. Positive things: The rooms are well decorated, functional, with a nice bathroom and an excellent air conditioning system. The new restaurant is the best part of the new/renovated hotel. The choice of food is better than before for the two class, as is the service of the staff. Negative things: - do you have to charge hotel guests 10 euros per day for a parasol? I paid room 335 euros per day HB, but you could not give me parasol free?! - The situation is the same with the parking lot in garage. IT was always free or max 5 eur per day. Now you charge 10 euros per day. It's not 100% inflation for a parking space to charge so much. - The refrigerator in the room did not work and if I complaid for it immediately, the staff did not solve. In the end, they gave me a 5% discount. That's ok, but I needed a refrigerator and cold drinks at 35 deg C, as it was in July. These are small things, but they greatly affect the rating of your hotel. I hope that the next time I come (certainly by the end of 2023) these things will be corrected! Aleksandar

訪訪客Cons: Hotel rooms would need some renovation and work. The floor would need some deep cleaning (lots of stains), balcony windows and door was in bad shape (would be a lot better with some warnish applied on the frame at least). Pros: Breakfast was great at the restaurant of Hotel Histrion, access to nice pool area with terrace in Hotel Histrion, overall great location. I would recommend to spend a little more and book a reservation in hotel Histrion.
