We had a great stay in this small, upscale little property located in Ban Du, about 20 minutes north of Chiang Rai. Room: we booked the Superior King and loved it. Our room was spacious, airy, nicely decorated and had a splendid view of the koi pond and bridge. The room and the grounds had a couple of kitschy design elements, but they were more than compensated for by the lovely landscaping and artistic attention to detail. The shower and the bed were both outstanding, and there were ample electrical outlets. One issue, and it was significant: Internet through WiFi was inadequate, unusable at times, often requiring me to turn off WiFi to go online. Not a deal breaker, but definitely a dissatisfier. Staff: the family who own the villa are kind, helpful and attentive. The daughter speaks good English and was a delight to interact with. Food: each day you pick your breakfast and time to eat for the next day. A robust American platter (eggs, meats and toast) is available, as are a number of quite respectable Thai dishes. Dinner can be ordered (we didn't) in advance. A number of small restaurants border the lake, which is within easy walking distance. Location: we had no interest in spending time in the town of Chiang Rai, and had a car, so it was perfect for exploring the many sights to the north and west. Overall, I highly recommend this villa and enjoyed my 5-night stay.
訪訪客Stayed in room 208 for 4 nights. The check in process was straightforward with only admin being a signature and payment to be dealt with. I paid in cash, but you can also pay with a card for an extra 3%. Being a poshtel, the only shared parts were the common areas, kitchen and bathrooms. There were common areas by landing on each floor and these were really nice places just to chill out. I think there was also an attached restaurant or cafe but I never saw anyone in there and I never went in either. My room had a bed, a chair, AC and a fan. The mattress was very firm even by Asian standards. It was definitely firmer than I'm accustomed to and some people will find it rock hard. There is a small table, but it's more like a ledge so it's difficult to work on unless you have e.g. a small laptop. There’s an electrical point by the table, but the bed is located so far that the hostel has provided an extension cord. There's also a bin and laundry basket in your room. Staff will clean and tidy up your room every morning as well as providing a bottle of water every day of your stay. Otherwise, the room is quite small and you wouldn't want to spend your free time in there. My room was on the 2nd floor. There were three toilets and three showers. There was no trouble getting warm or hot water from the showers. The one shared kitchen was also on the second floor. This had a large table with eight chairs, a microwave, plates, utensils and free water. All of the common areas were cleaned regularly. Although the bathroom was generally very clean, some of the silicone had mould. Nothing scary though. There were two super fast computers near the kitchen. I'm sure these would’ve been useful 10 years ago when smartphones weren’t as ubiquitous. Location wise the hotel is about 10 minutes from the centre of town but everything else is close by including bars, restaurants, cafes and massage places. The night market and clock tower are about a 5 minute walk. Overall I had a fantastic stay, the front office and staff are friendly, and do a great job. The reception area has brochures for tourists and the front office can also arrange these for guests. The rooms do have a quirky design but nothing that would make you want to leave. The location is excellent with everything you need close by. I would happily stay here again or recommend it to anyone staying in Chiang Mai.
訪訪客It’s new and nice decorating there. Clean and good service and friendly from reception. Room are nice 😊 Have parking and good location it convenient to traveling around. Breakfast also nice have choice for Asia and European too. Quiet is nice for take some rest here. I would like to recommend this hotel it very nice.
訪訪客Almost everything here is great. Lovely grounds, clear pool and everything is exceptionally clean. Breakfast is very good and staff are pleasant. The only downside is location and even that is not a huge issue. Walking to the centre would take about 15-20 minutes but there are also a number of shuttle times. These are mostly morning and evening with a gap in the middle. As I say, this may not be an issue for everyone but overall this is very good value.
