Absolutely fantastic stay @ Clarens re-treat. Host was amazing advised on restaurants so welcoming. Great service host goes the extra mile to cater for late check in's. Neat and tidy, warm and cozy stay hubby and I enjoyed this mini vacay.

Wonderful surroundings. Golden Gate and Lesotho are a wonderful experience especially if you enjoy nature and the outdoors. The town Clarens is a gem. If you are looking for a place to stay while exploring the surrounding area. We recommend you stay at Clarens Retreat. The hosts are very accommodating. The Restuarant on site is a TREAT!

We love staying at Retreat in Clarens on our frequent travels between Durban, Cape Town and the far Northern Cape. Gerrit is a welcoming and friendly host and prides himself on ensuring that the accommodation is always well presented, with a high level of attention to detail. Retreat is perfectly situated only 100m from the Clarens Square and the quaint shops and eateries. Their onsite restaurant has a great menu and is extremely popular, serving excellent fare. The accommodation is secure with off road parking and has everything you would need for and overnight stay or longer.

Our host Gerrit was very welcoming and even went further to change our rooms to bring kids closer to us. Very nice restauarant on complex. Also very close to other restaurants and shops. Overall a great experience. Will definitely visit again soon

What an amazing place to stay! Owner is so friendly. The place is nice and clean. Restaurant right next to the accommodation. I would definitely be back here again!
