Protea Hotel Clarens

Wonderful stay. A little disappointed about the view from the room but other than this, we appreciated the little touch of the mint on our pillow at night and the great breakfast. It’s a super convenient spot and would choose to stay again.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly .Breakfast was fresh and had a little bit of everything .Unfortunately for my partner and I ,we booked the hotel because of it’s amenities ,upon out arrival we got the news that the hotel is doing some refurbishments therefore we couldn’t use the amenities we booked the hotel for .I suggested that we at-least get upgraded as we are unhappy,but nothing of that sort happened .So I was very unhappy that the hotel couldn’t at-least meet us half way.They just said the site I booked at need to take full responsibility for not notifying me of the refurbishment.

Certamente um dos melhores hotéis da cidade. Está muito bem localizado, é confortável e bonito. O café da manhã é muito bom. Há estacionamento para muitos carros. A Internet funcionou com bastante velocidade, o que foi importante para fazer chamada de vídeo.

The Marriott Protea in Clarens welcomes a weary traveller with a smile and a refreshing drink on arrival. The hotel has under roof parking close to the front door and dedicated parking for motorcycles. Friendly staff takes care of one’s luggage. In winter temperatures in the afternoons drop quickly after the sun disappears. The soups served in winter are delicious and worth ordering. The rooms meet expectations and the mountain facing rooms allows one to observe a wintery sunrise.

Very attentive and friendly staff by the restaurant. We head a few hiccups, like a dirty kettle in our room but it was sorted within a short space of time. We will definitely go back without thinking twice.................................
