I enjoyed my stay at Mont d’Or Clarens, the service is great, the establishment is well kept and the view of the mountains is amazing!

Poor WiFi service, smelly rooms, warm water issues or no water at all. They tried to rectify the issues but it should've been sorted out before arrival, especially considering this is a 4 star hotel.

The room are very spacious and well decorated. The view is amazing and it is very close to the town centre.

Great property, the staff is awesome and so caring. The rooms feel like home with a touch of elegance and warmth. The food was GREAT, did I mention the warmth of the staff. I will definitely be coming back in the near future!

Staff are very friendly, breakfast delicious and lots to choose from. Shower not so good, open shower and water all over the place. View breathtaking!! Clarens break away did us good!!

This establishment is old but very refined. The views are wonderful and the ambience is great. The Staff were amazing and could not do enough for us. We had dinner and breakfast and both meals were excellent. Rooms are spacious and well furnished. I will most certainly stay again. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our short stay very much. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Dinner was delicious, breakfast was good. Rooms were beautiful and very comfortable.

Room was comfortable, was easy to stay warm with the Aircon and electric blankets available. The view is beautiful, and the staff were friendly. Mont d’or is situated at the very outward point of Clarens, so you do need to drive into town- not problematic, but something to be aware of.

My mom and I stayed at this beautiful hotel whilst travelling for business from George to Hoedspruit. Such friendly, welcoming staff who make you feel at home immediately. Everything was handled with absolute proficiency and smooth check in as well as check out. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated with all amenities to make your stay comfortable and convenient. The room was equipped with a small fireplace, electric blankets and heater for the winter. We had drinks at the bar and dinner in the dining room, excellent food and service. We hadto head out early the next morning and was offered a pre- packed breakfast which was ready as we checked out. So much effort was put into our packed road breakfast with little extras for our trip ahead. Thank you very much to all staff for putting in extra effort with regards to every part of the stay. I would highly recommend staying at Mont d'Or Clarens when passing through.

This hotel pleasantly surprised us during our 4night stay with a wonderful family room consisting of a comfortable double and 2 single beds and a cot, clean and neat and well appointed with both spa bath and shower. The service was excellent, breakfast was solid English with continental options as well as fresh fruit salad daily and a selection of yoghurt and cereal and was included in the nightly room tariff. The Restaurant served lovely meals. Room service was good. The only suggestion I would make is a good music selection at the bar area to make the atmosphere for pre-dinner drinks more sociable. The spa is beautifully appointed and the views from the hotel spectacular. The heating was superb with a roaring fire in the restaurant hearth, electric blankets and air in in the room. We can recommend this hotel for a lovely family base to explore Clarens and surrounds.

Beds were very hard, in all 3 rooms. Breakfast was not suitable, poor optiond for a 4 star hotel, skipped breakfast on the 2nd day. Hotel is in need for a revamp
