格里登豪斯酒店(The Glidden House)

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Glidden House and recommend it as a mansion- style accommodation in an academic & cultural setting. At check-in the staff offered us an upgraded suite, which was unexpected. Undesirable situations marred our otherwise nice stay: the bathroom had not been serviced (was dusty, had hair from a prior tenant, had ants in the shower, and had a finicky toilet); the elevator was taken out of service precisely at the time we vacated the room on check- out day (there was no announcement ahead of this outage; fortunately a maintenance worker offered to carry our luggage down the stairs). Hotel management did make notes about bathroom maintenance and thanked us for pointing out the issue. The included breakfast was excellent with several hot and cold food and beverage choices.

Quiet, comfortable, small classy hotel with about 20 rooms in the middle of case western reserve university and a 10 minute walk from University Hospital. It's a 5 minute walk from the major Cleveland museums including the Museum of Art, the Museum of Natural history, and the botanical gardens. Breakfast was good and included in the price and there is a glassed in porch as well as a wood walled parlor sitting area which is also comfortable. A small bar area on the first floor is open between Tuesday and Sunday. This was even better than expected. The only downside was that one wall of our room was attached to another room which got a little noisy one night

Enjoyed our stay. We could walk to restaurants, and it is close to Cleveland Clinic and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We stayed on Labor Day so their small bar was closed. Unfortunately, their elevator was not working so we had to lug our suit cases up to the 3rd floor. Beautiful grounds. Unique place!

Had a wonderful evening there the other night staying, I wanted to stay there for a long time, the place is really elegant, in a 1920s and 1930s Way. The grounds and buildings are very attractive, my room was updated and was quite nice, the bathroom was great. The Breakfast that’s included in the room charge was absolutely fabulous, And the lady over seeing the room wonderful. A really great experience, there are not many places that have this sort of ambience today, most of them are new glass and granite and marble and very sterile, this place is extremely comfortable and elegant. This is a very cool hotel in a great location. Do much more atmospheric than a generic Hilton or Best Western. The neighborhood is also fantastic. Walking distance to fun restaurants in Cleveland’s Little Italy as well as the museum of art and the botanical garden. Safe, quiet green streets. The breakfast was also unusually good and you eat in a lovely old fashioned dining area and porch. Yes, the elevator is slow and our fridge wasn’t plugged in and had a bunch of melted ice on the bottom and our key cards had to be re-formatted. But I would stay in this hotel again in a heartbeat.
