韋斯特縣旅館(The West Country Inn)

Great value break staying in a historical coaching inn. Booked at last minute and wasn't many other places available within my budget, but the West Country Inn exceeded our expectations and we ended up staying 2 nights rather than just one. Comfortable en suite room with tea/coffee facilities Plenty of parking available Breakfast and evening meal available and food was excellent Good location with easy access to nearby places such as Clovelly and Bude Friendly and welcoming staff There was nothing to dislike or complain about and I would stay here again

Drove down from the west midlands to attend the Fawlty Towers night. We were met by Laura, the owner and welcomed like family. The staff were absolutely fantastic throughout and the chef did a grand job too. Highly recommend both the hotel/restaurant and the Fawlty Towers show if you see it advertised. Haven't laughed so much in years

All I can say is WOW ! What a Gem of a place to visit. We had seen a lot of people locally recommend Westcountry Inn for there Sunday roasts. So we had to come have a try. And have a drive from Bude and it was definitely we'll worth it ! 🙌 Firstly Laura and her staff was super friendly and welcoming upon walking in. And was happy to have a chat with us at the bar. 🍷🥂🍾 We ordered our meal and with in 10 mins it was at our table just wow what a incredible roast dinner! 💯 Everything was cooked to perfection and full love ♥ and passion 🤙 The favours and the homemade cauliflower cheese was incredible super creamy and cheesy we litterally wanted to order more!!!! And the homemade gravy I could have drank a pint of it haha it was super infused with the meat juices and flavours! all the meats was super tender and fell apart. The mixture of vegetables was cooked perfect and very fresh and full of flavour. And we was sat outside enjoying all of this & the sun in there very own little garden sourounded by there homegrown herbs they use to cook with and wildlife was an incredible place. 🍽🫶 We really did throughly enjoy our meal we left super satisfied and very full and with a big smile. Our ONLY recommendation would be to have some stuffing & few more vegetables like peas, swede and some parsnips as the veg really do finish a sunday roast off. And not to forget mentioning they serve Thatchers Blood orange and cloudy lemon cider!!! Which was the cherry on top! I definitely enjoyed a few pints in the sun ☀ A massive thank you to the staff at Westcountry Inn we definitely will be returning again 100% 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

arrived early to find placed locked up so left , came back 15 min before alloted time and was greeted by you are not expected until 5pm but ill let you in . later was told we were not booked for breakfast but can if wanted , then said you would be better going to Mc Donalds , return Sunday for evening meal the chef( only person on site ) says no meals tonight normal Sunday roast but they are all gone and can't be bothered to cook anything . the room was never serviced and as result nothing on the tea tray for morning cup . we left

Hotel staff very friendly and would help you with anything. Rooms very comfort and you have everything you need. Food excellent and good portions. Did not have to wait long for food

Great landlord who couldn't do enough to make you welcome and ensure you enjoy your stay. Great location for visiting the sites in North Devon. Could do with a refresh of the hotel.

The team was incredibly welcoming, and looked after me well. I had a lovely evening meal, and they were kind enough to do an early breakfast for me, as I was doing a long-distance walk and needed to make the most of daylight hours. The room was quite compact, and it is clearly an older building, but was comfy enough for me. The bathroom was compact, but certainly not cramped.

We absolutely love West country inn and if I lived nearer I would be there more often ,the owner is so lovely and nothing is too much trouble, the rooms are so comfy ,and excellent breakfasts also you have to try the Sunday roast an absolute must.

we had been to barnstaple for a hospital appointment..on the way back we called in here for a meal as it was getting late and i had heard that they do good food..The choice was limited, so we had the steak and ale pie..which was ok except for the pastry on top was burnt..the vegetables came in a large disth with no seasoning just very bland..my friends pint was also very flat,which he didn1t take back..he just left it..on paying and leaving,we were not asked if our meal was ok or acknowledge us..it wasn`t busy neither..i can honestly say their food wasn`t up to scratch,maybe it was a one off,but i will stick with our local in future
