"What an incredible and unique place to stay! Bryan and his staff are extremely friendly and Satta Lodge really makes you feel completely immersed in the jungle, and that was exactly what made our stay so special. Waking up to the sounds of the wildlife around us was amazing, and we even experienced some incredible tropical thunder and rainstorms during our stay, which only added to the atmosphere. Morning coffees surrounded by the sights and sounds of the jungle are something we won’t forget! Breakfast was freshly prepared for us every morning and was absolutely delicious — the perfect way to start the day. There are only a small number of lodges, which makes the whole experience feel peaceful and personal rather than like a busy resort. The pool area is beautiful, surrounded by greenery, and the entire property has such a calm and serene atmosphere. The location is also ideal. Satta Lodge is just outside Puerto Viejo, so you get the peace and tranquillity of staying in the jungle while still being only a very short distance from the busier, more touristy atmosphere of town. We also visited Cahuita National Park, which was only around a 30-minute drive away, making Satta Lodge a great base for exploring more of the Caribbean coast and its incredible nature. If you’re looking for somewhere a little different where you can switch off, relax and properly experience being surrounded by nature, Satta Lodge is a very special place to stay."
