Huge windows opening to forest and canyon walls, this rustic, lodge style cabin was custom built with many of the existing trees and local stones. A large fireplace is the focal point of the open great room where the gourmet kitchen and farmhouse table can be accessed. Our cozy cabin retreat is a true oasis, nestled in the middle of beautiful Oak Creek Canyon, just 5 miles north of uptown Sedona. It's a quiet, very peaceful retreat, perfect for when you' need to get away from the hustle and bustle & relax. We are surrounded on all sides by gorgeous canyon views. Although you can’t see the creek from the home, you can hear it flowing from our back yard. There's no direct access to the creek from our house, but it's a very short 5 minute walk. This beautiful 2800 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath cabin has plenty of room for your stay! All 3 bedrooms are large and very spacious, each with a very comfortable, king size bed, and each bedroom has its own special features. The master bedroom has a large sitting area, complete with a couch and a cozy, stone fireplace easily operated with an on/off switch, as well as a TV. There are also two decks off the master, one small deck that overlooks the back yard, and another very spacious deck with beautiful canyon views, complete with an outdoor sectional, perfect for star gazing! A telescope is also available for checking out the beautiful night sky. There is a desk/workspace in the master as well, if you require a dedicated space to work, away from the main area of the house. The master bathroom also features a jacuzzi tub, which takes relaxation to an all new level!The 2nd bedroom also has a small deck with a bistro table and chairs, overlooking the backyard. This bedroom also has a large sitting area, with a rocking chair and full sized couch. The 3rd bedroom used to be a loft, until we added a wall to provide additional privacy. It is a great place for teens or older kids to hang out, as it has a large TV, as well as a couch and 2 twin size beds. Games & puzzles are also stored in this room. The 2nd & 3rd bedroom share a bathroom.***All 3 bedrooms are located upstairs, so guests must be able to go up and down stairs with ease. They are hardwood stairs with no carpeting. Please provide your own baby gates if you are bringing small children.***The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need (and then some!) to cook to your heart's delight during your stay. There is a large island with 3 bar stools, as well as a kitchen table with 6 chairs (and great canyon views to boot!)There is a separate coffee bar, complete with a Keurig coffee maker and coffee pods for your use as well. The family room is spacious and comfortable with large windows and gorgeous views of the backyard. A gas fireplace makes the space very cozy and relaxing as well. The back yard is a true oasis with gorgeous views of the canyon on all sides. The sound of the flowing creek (you can hear it, but can't see it from our property), and the chirping of the plentiful birds the canyon attracts is very relaxing. There is a large outdoor sectional, two swivel chairs, two lounge chairs, and a circular day bed for your use during your stay. There is a wood burning fire pit (you are responsible for providing your own firewood) and a propane powered BBQ grill. There is also a large covered patio (underneath the master deck) off the side of the house with a nice sitting area. Please note, there are two sets of stone stairs that go down into our backyard, so if you are bringing small children, you will need to provide your own baby gates.Also, as mentioned in the house rules, pursuant to a Sedona city ordinance as well as our neighborhood regulations, no excessive outside noise or music will be tolerated between the hours of 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM. This is STRICTLY ENFORCED and please keep in mind that noise travels very easily in the canyon!Please note: Since our property is located in a very unique setting, in the middle of a canyon, Wifi service can be spotty from time to time. Please be aware of weather conditions when booking our home in the winter or during a heavy rain season. It is advised to have 4WD, AWD or chains on your vehicle during the winter months. Also, please note that the 7 mph speed limit in our neighborhood is STRICTLY ENFORCED. Please respect our neighbors and our community and abide by the 7 mph speed limit.LOCATION:We are just minutes from uptown Sedona which has many wonderful restaurants and lots of shopping, and of course mind blowing views of the red rocks! We are 1.5 miles south of Slide Rock State Park, which is a great place for tubing, hiking, splashing in the creek, or a beautiful picnic. Breath-taking West Fork Trail is 5 miles north of our home as well. There are literally hundreds of great hiking, biking, and off road vehicle trails all within 15 minutes of our home. Several wineries are also within a 30 minute drive, as well as Verde River kayak excursions, hot air ballooning, helicopter tours, Pink Jeep off road tour (which is HIGHLY recommended!), Verde Canyon Railroad and several types of tours to the Grand Canyon, which is 2 hours away. The Orchard House on Sedona Oak Creek- See and hear the pleasant calming sounds of Oak Creek & wind in the trees from an Eden-like private canyon back yard with ivy & wild roses grown along the back fence. This place is so peaceful. Canyon walls surround you, as Oak Creek runs year round. Retreat to this charming 4 bedroom, 2 bath canyon cabin with a deck overlooking the creek. It also has a separate room over the garage that can be used as a 5th bedroom but has to be accessed from the outside. This house is referred to as The Orchard House, due to the several varieties of apple, pears, peach and cherry trees, with grape vines along southern fence line. Also, let's not forget the two almond trees in the front....everything grows here!A wood-burning brick fireplace in great-room, a vintage replica stove in kitchen make for a great cabin-like setting. You will find that you will spend a lot of time in the backyard - with the deck/seating area overlooking the creek (our favorite place), a rope swing, a porch swing, mature trees, 2 large bird feeders, fire pit, a gas cooking grill and a charcoal grill for convenience, Sonos speakers and lights strung throughout. This backyard truly has a magical touch of nature that any age will truly enjoy. Although the yard does not have direct access to the creek, it is only about a 3 minute walk to it.If you are here to rest, relax and enjoy the beauty of Sedona, then this is the place to be. You will find this house to be detailed with all of the necessary things to make your stay enjoyable. Lots of thought and attention to detail make this property desirable... 5 very comfortable beds, plenty of cooking utensils, 3 different ways to make coffee, including a Keurig, comfy seating, fresh linens for beds and bathrooms. If you are headed to the creek, we have rafts, towels, coolers, and balls to make your trip fun. This house has everything. A perched game room/bunkhouse with a separate entrance is a fun place for kids or adults to hang out. The agenda; stroll to the creek, enjoy the ebb & flow of life's simple pleasures, take on a hike in many of Oak Creek Canyon's forest trails or visit Slide Rock that is one mile up the road. The location is unique as you are a short drive (5 miles) back into uptown Sedona where the dining, shopping or spa-ing opportunities are endless. Try the famous pink jeep tour for a fun and educational experience! You can also head up the 30 minute scenic route to Flagstaff on the newly renovated highway where there are ample opportunities for hiking, biking, shopping, dining or snow skiing to name a few. If you love wine, there are ample opportunities to try the Arizona wines. We recommend driving to Page Springs and Cottonwood...beautiful short drive and tasty wines!Other things to note.....Also, because we are a mountain property and located next to the creek, please be aware that the creek has the potential to overflow the bridge leading into our neighborhood, although it is rare. This usually occurs around March 1 and is because of melting snow up north in Flagstaff. This can cause traffic to be unable to cross into or out of the neighborhood for hours or days. Always look ahead at the weather and plan accordingly, by having plenty of food. Typically these events happen with lots of rain on top of existing snow in the high country. It is advisable to have an AWD or 4WD vehicle in the winter months, as snow is always a potential. This modern cottage is your oasis from the hustle and bustle. Please note there is only one parking spot. You may bring well trained small to medium sized dogs. This space features a bedroom and full bath with a queen daybed in the living room and a twin futon. Making this space great for a family or 2 to 4 friends traveling together. There is an incredible restaurant across the road with a perfect latte or lunch a few minute walk gets you there this is my favorite aspect because it makes cooking and groceries optional. We are excited to host all of you happy people or you folks who need a boost!The space:This home is soo special. It’s a dream cabin in a sweet neighborhood that sits on the creek. This is private access for homes that back the creek to access the creek you will need to head out to the public access. A short walk, about 8 mins, is the General Store which has world class food and coffee. A 15 minute drive into town for shopping and more dining. Everything is brand new and the home was just finished March 2020.Guest access:There is a fire-pit out back with a table a chairs to enjoy the calm. (some times it is no burn)There is direct creek access if you go down to the bridge from The Grace Space but the the homes that sit on the creek own their access. Guests can drive a few minutes up the road to slide rock to go for a dip or there is a bridge that you drive over to get to the house and from there you are allowed to enter the creek, it’s a little steep so enter carefully.Other things to note:We have a regular coffee maker and Keurig. Please bring ground coffee. There is also a one cup coffee pour over coffee maker. You will need to bring coffee filters for this. Gorgeous Wall of Windows with Stunning, Painted Views- Close to Slide Rock and Oak CreekPrepare to be awed and inspired at our home- Painted Views. It is a modern loft home with tons of charm. This 2 story, alone home is located in an eclectic community. The community is located on Oak Creek; and right across from Indian Gardens in Oak Creek Canyon, just a few miles from Slide Rock Park. Its only 3.8 miles from uptown Sedona. Our home sits atop a hill with walls of windows for spectacular views from the entire top floor; which includes, the living room, kitchen, reading nook, master bedroom, and outdoor deck. Our home has natural wood flooring, ALL granite countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms, and all top end Bosch appliances. There are 2 flat screen TVs, each with its own DVD player, Direct TV, and high speed internet. We have a fully stocked kitchen (table settings for 8, glasses, pots and pans, knives, wine glasses and opener, utensils, and small appliances) just in case you may be inspired to cook. The master bath has a large glass enclosed shower with multi-level jets and a rain shower head. We have also supplied a blow dryer, an ironing board, and iron. Each bedroom has a pillow top queen bed, and the den has a sofa sleeper that sleeps 2. You will be staying in a luxury modern bungalow only minutes from town.If you read about the bumpy road in any reviews- let me be very exact about the road. You are on the main road I89 for about 5 minutes out of uptown until you turn onto the road going into our area…. Then you are on a road for about 2 minutes that is a little bumpy. It is nothing a car can’t navigate. The people who say it is bumpy are correct…But it is bumpy for a very small section of your travels. Going slow will help this and be respectful to our community! Remember we are not in the city- roads are not always perfectly maintained. Please be advised that this home is in a very natural setting, and because of that you will see critters both big (deer, coyotes, javelinas) and small (snakes, squirrels, bats, birds, and all kinds of insects). We use natural pesticides, but even with that (especially in the summer months) you may discover a few small visitors in the home as they seek shelter from the summer heat and monsoons.
