The front desk staff were really friendly when we had breakfast there

Das Motel hat die übliche hufeisenförmige Anlage. Was überrascht, ist der hohe Baumbestand im Innenhof mit netten Sitzplätzen. Ansonsten back to the Sixties. Das Zimmer ist schön groß und Boden und Badfliesen sind wohl mal erneuert worden. Das war es dann aber auch schon. Die Eingangstür klemmt so stark, dass man große Mühe hat, überhaupt ins Zimmer zu kommen. Ein kaputtes Fenster wurde notdürftig mit einer Plexiglasscheibe repariert. Es sind Kaffeetüten vorhanden, aber keine Maschine dazu. Auf Nachfrage fühlt sich der Staff nicht verantwortlich dafür. Es gibt eine Fernbedienung für eine Klimaanlage, aber kein Gerät, was darauf reagiert. Also Fernbedienung oder Klimaanlage defekt. Das Frühstück besteht nur aus Brot, Butter und Marmelade. Die Kaffeemaschine ist leer, keine Milch vorhanden. Zudem ist der Abfalleimer völlig verdreckt. Also Versuch einer Nachfrage, doch die Rezeption ist während der Frühstückszeit nicht besetzt. Es ist eine Nummer vorhanden, die man mit dem eigenen (!) Telefon anrufen soll. Wenn man Glück hat, kommt dann der Staff, der offensichtlich wenig Freude an seinem Beruf hat.

This hotel was okay, but our room had one of those weird smells where maybe someone smoked in the room, and they tried chemicals or something to get rid of it? It's a smell you only smell in motels! It was a really small room, but the bathroom was surprisingly spacious. I have read what the others wrote, and yes, it's a good value considering what the other motels are charging, and we were able to walk into town, not only to the Buffalo Bill museum, but also out for dinner. We appreciated the breakfast, but when we checked in, I asked the woman why in reserving it in advance we were now paying more than if we had walked off the street? I mean, is that fair? I booked through their site, and thought if anything those coming in last minute should be the ones paying more. She never looked up or addressed it. A woman of no words, I think she was bugged. Well, I was too! I had gone to their site for some other reason and noticed that they were now offering a lower price and I felt like I was being penalized for planning in advance. I think the least a hotel can do is offer the same rate and refund some of our money! (or explain or apologize if they couldn't) It wasn't a good start. Would I stay here again? Maybe, maybe not.
