普利斯提格戈爾登旅館(Prestige Inn Golden)

This property is a nice find along the Trans Canada Highway in Golden. It is on the highway so we rate it only 4 out of 5 for location, but otherwise the hotel and our room were spotless, the staff very accommodating and our stay was great. The King suite is large with an enjoyable jetted tub, and is nicely appointed.

Started our 1-week to the Icefields Parkway by driving from Kelowna to Golden and staying here. It a nice place. We enjoyed the spa tub and swimming pool. The ice machine is on the 1st floor lobby and was a bit inconvenient. The service desk didn't know anything about the road closures over to Banff. I thought they'd be better informed. Breakfast was not included but we had a good on at the onsite restaurant, RIcky's. We had our R-Pod camper with us and there was plenty of parking in the back. Room was nice and the bed was comfortable.

Check in with Ruth at front desk was great. Got to our room, unpacked and got settled then went to put water bottles in the fridge and there was food in it!!! I took it to the front desk, back to Ruth. She was very nice, offered to see if we wanted to change rooms but we were unpacked and sink declined. I think we maybe shdv just been offered a discount on our rate.

Very easy to get to, just off the hwy but the room was quiet. Desk clerk so nice and helpful, we asked for a king room instead of a queen, was very happy to do this. The room was nice 👍, great TV but was dark at night. Just two lamps and no overhead lighting.

This is a well maintained property, excellent staff who were very helpful in every aspect to make this a pleasant stay for my family. The room size was decent and the hotel overall was very clean. The only small problem that I found was very tight parking and limited parking spots. the hotel front drop off area is too narrow therefore if a vehicle is standing there for drop off or pickup it will not allow for another vehicle to pass. For the rate charged they should also consider adding free breakfast or giving coupons for the onsite restaurant, that will be a simple yet a great add on.

The elevator was under maintenance, which was not stated on the website nor was a discount provided. The hotel smells like recycled cigarette smoke from the 1970's. The AC unit in our room needs a filter change or replacement, as it was blowing out the same smell. I originally booked for two nights, but after arriving quickly decided to change to one night and was charged $50 more for a total of $319.00 for the night. Beyond ridiculous price for this crappy Inn. The staff was friendly and positive. The restaurant Ricky's attached to the Inn has great food and I would recommend it. They serve authentic Mexican food.
