The front desk staff is very friendly. Room is clean and spacious. Location is good. Beds are soft.

Best things first, the rooms were VERY CLEAN!!! Also, beds/pillows were VERY COMFORTABLE, and the linens very nice. The lobby there were overflowing wastebaskets,during our stay. The coffee and cocoa bar were awesome! We were booked for 2 nights. Husband fiddled with wall thermostat the first night and we woke up cold, but he thought he just didn't know how to work the thermostat. We left for the day, returned, and it was cold. We decided to go to the desk, and "maintenance" told the front desk there was no heat in our room. Oh??!! So, we were moved to another room for our second night. I asked about a voucher or discounted stay for the first night, and was given two vouchers for a "free" breakfast on our day of departure. I don't eat breakfast, so it wasn't much of a consolation. Second night went flawless and the room was way more comfortable and updated than the previous room we had. Upon checking out, I again asked for a discount and was blatently told since we failed to report it right away (actually we assumed it would kick in overnight but it didn't), all she would offer were the breakfast vouchers. Okay, then. On another note, (1) there is no secure wi-fi at this facility; (2) the parking arrangements were a surprise to me - WE HAD TO PAY $35 PER DAY, PLUS TIPS, FOR VALET PARKING. That really adds to the bill, and, (3) the pool was too cold, even the kids weren't swimming!

The room wasn’t clean; it still had the previous guest belongings in there,there was ice still in the ice bucket and the drinking glasses weren’t clean. Reached out to the front desk person that day and they stated maybe the cleaning staff missed it? Lastly they only offer Valet at $35 bucks a day. Wouldn’t recommend!!

I stay at Marriott properties often as a Bonvoy member. The Columbus Courtyard was not up to Marriotts usual standards. It's an old, historic building which is part of the problem I think or maybe it was just my room. Avoid rm 113. It is ground floor, right off the foyer. You can hear every word spoken throughout the night. The room is right on the street so you get every sound from outside too. The big issue is the climate control It is ancient. A swamp cooler style unit that is positioned right on your head as you lie down. When on it blows directly on your face and is LOUD, like one of those high powered hand dryers in a restroom. It goes off and on all night. A good night's sleep is not possible. The snack area is typical but on the night I arrived, they must have been waiting for deliveries because the shelves were 2/3s empty. Positive note, the location is one block from National Arena and 3-4 from the Convention Center. Good location. The staff was kind and helpful too.

Our room smelled very musty. The refrigerator was kept in a closed cabinet. When we opened the cabinet door to get to the fridge, the amount of heat that poured out was significant. Thinking this was the source of the musty odor and also a safety issue. Also, when booking online, they claim parking is available. The only parking available offered by the hotel was vallet at $35 for overnight parking. I was told I could go find a parking garage in town somewhere. Walls are very thin. Could hear neighbor opening the drapes, and the stairwell doors slamming shut echoed down the hallways throughout the night.

The maids only cleaned the room once in 5 days. The bathrooms are the archaic design with the sinks outside of the tub/toilet area. The parking isn't very convenient - they do have valet service for $35/day and there is a lot up the street for $20/day without in/out privileges. Otherwise, the hotel is generally well cared for and clean. It is pretty quiet and filled our needs very well. It is priced reasonably.

Lobby and hallways were fine and smelled fragranced. The room smelt horrible. Old wet musky basement. Tiny trash can. No parking. Valet only or find parking on the street and get up before they start to ticket. Valet was 35 and the employees took up all the valet drop off with there personal vehicles after midnight. Will not be returning.

All good A little but if a walk to the downtown area but fine. Reasonable for downtown.
