庫拉姆海灘度假酒店(The Beach Retreat Coolum)

If you're looking for fancy, this is not your place. The room was very basic, but had everything we needed for a weekend away. For a simple getaway, this place is great. Directly across the road from the beach entrance. You can be from your room to your feet in the sand in less than 5 mins. You can hear the waves, which we love, but also it's surprisingly quiet with the door closed. Aircon is super efficient. Bed was very comfy, bath tub was great, room was really roomy. The bathroom vanity tap was a bit wonky and spat the water out but we managed fine. We stayed in room 1B which is at the front of the building. We put the outdoor chairs into the rock garden to enjoy the beach view. There was also a table just outside the complex door where we sat for a sunset drink and dinner, for a broader, uninterrupted view of the beach. Staff were friendly, there's undercover secure parking and there are restaurants, cafes, shops just a few steps away.

The room was lovely and clean, bed very comfortable. The view from my room was amazing over looking the beach. Only thing I thought that was lacking was a microwave. It has a kettle, bar fridge, crockery and cutlery. But overall was a great place to stay. Photo is the view from my room.

Disappointed that they call ocean views when it is only if you ignore the guests in the other rooms staring straight into ours. No daily service provided. One of the pools was closed, reception shuts at 4pm. Good location though.

We had a lovely couple of days in Coolum. This complex is handy to everything, shops, clubs etc. Nice comfy room and great view

Don't bother coming here poked an accommodation they took my money the n said they don't do 1 night major rip offs lost 225 dollars and they are really rude do t bother coming here

The room was very clean and had everything needed for a long weekend away. The view was stunning and it was so peaceful to sit and watch the waves break as they rolled in. Great location that was walkable to shops as well as the beach. The staff were very friendly and professional. We highly recommend the Coolum Beach Retreat and give it a five star rating as we found no faults with the staff, room, amenities or the facility. We will be back again for sure!

Great place to stay , wish we booked longer . Close to beaches shops and good food close by. Very clean easy secure parking .

Excellent location. We stayed in apartment 5a for 10 days and while we had a good time, there are a few things we were disappointed about: 1. Parking is not guaranteed 2 No broom or dustpan in room 3. No laundry detergent 4. No clothes horse 5. Not enough bath soap 6. No small milk carton in fridge on arrival 7. No info pamphlet about the place on arrival On the plus side, for the most part it was quiet, the hot tubs were very enjoyable facing the beach, Sauna was lovely, pool was nice and everything was walking distance in terms of food options and clothes shopping. Markets on Friday night were good, and on New Years Eve the local park had fire works which could be viewed from multiple locations. Really enjoyed the board walk along the coast which went right up to a look out. The staff were good, the room was clean on arrival. Wish we had a beach balcony, as the room we had felt a bit dark and enclosed. If we stay there again it would have to be a room that has a full beach view and balcony off ground. We were a little too close to ground level and we had many water dragon lizards on our deck which meant we didn’t feel comfortable leaving our sliding door open as the lizards seemed pretty tame, and seemed quiet happy to get close to us-and they are not small lizards! They did however provide us entertainment. If our sliding door had a fly screen, we would not have found them an issue at all. Air conditioner was very good.
